Writer-turned-director John Francis Daley wants Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo back to reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold for New Line's
Vacation reboot/sequel.
"It is something that we've been warned not to screw up," Daley told THR at the PaleyFest event for his Fox series, Bones. "We have confidence that there's still a lot to tell in the story of the Griswolds. And we've been involved with it for so long, it felt like the natural next step to direct."
"There'll be no recasting, except for the fact that Rusty will now be grown up," said Daley. "We don't know who will be playing him, but we intend to have a part for Clark Griswold. Chevy, we're hoping he'll be down to come back -- and Beverly D'Angelo as well."
