'Carrie' Remake Gets A Bloody Release Date

Mark your calendars.  Kimberly Peirce's Carrie remake is slated for a March 15, 2013 release.  Casting is currently underway and the title role has been filled by rising star Chloe Moretz, who is probably best known for her role as Hit Girl in the live-action adaptation of the graphic novel Kick-Ass.

This version is said to be more faithful to the Stephen King book than the 1976 movie was.  But if memory serves me, the 2002 made-for-TV version was pretty accurate (even with all the inter-cut interviews, which are present in the novel) -- but also just that: a TV movie.  This new one could be very promising.

On March 15, 2013, Carrie White is going to prom.
