Nicholas Stoller Has Updates On 'Muppets' Sequel

The Muppet Sequel could be in theatres as soon as Summer of 2013 but according to Nicholas Stoller, the writer of The Muppets and it's soon to be made sequel says that's probably not going to happen.

Disney wants to have the film out as soon as it's possible due to the success of The Muppets

Collider interviewed Stoller and he gave some pretty interesting insight on the sequel.

For one, The Muppet Sequel is going to be a comedy caper.  Also, Jason Segal may possibly cameo.

Another major thing is trying to incorporate elements from classic Muppets.

Stoller said regarding classic Muppets: "We love The Great Muppet Caper and we love Muppets Take Manhattan and whatnot. So this has some elements of that, but it’s different because it’s in the tone of what James and I like to do."

The sequel definitely looks to be an all-out comedy film.  How will it compare to The Muppets? We will have to wait and see.
