Think this is a joke? Well, sorry to knock you down for the count but it's for real. Based on Chris Anderson's simply titled, Raging Bull II, the film will star William Forsythe filling in Robert De Niro's shoes, er, I mean, gloves for the film that is being billed as both a prequel and a sequel. It is to begin shooting this summer.
Raging Bull, directed by Martin Scorsese, is considered to be one of the greatest films of all time and having a sequel to it just seems unnecessary.
The film will be directed by Martin Guigui, who previous directed Dennis Quaid in Beneath the Darkness and National Lampoon's Cattle Call. Really Hollywood? I guess no one else wanted to handle the task of directing the sequel to such a legendary film.
Would Robert De Niro consider doing a cameo? Probably not, but if he did, it would be funny if he played someone that punched the main character in the face.
