Takashi Miike To Direct Live Action Adaptation Of Mogura No Uta Manga



Takashi Miike, best known as the guy who directed Audition and Ichi the Killer, will be directing a live action adaptation of the Mogura no Uta manga.

This year's 8th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits manga magazine announced on Monday that Takashi Miike is directing the live-action film adaptation of Noboru Takahashi's Mogura no Uta (Mole's Song) manga.
Miike's live-action adaptation of Yūsuke Kishi's Aku no Kyōten (Lesson of the Evil) psychological suspense novel is currently in theaters. Among dozens of other titles, he recently directed the Ace Attorney game's live-action film, the Crows Zero prequel to Hiroshi Takahashi's Crows manga, and the For Love's Sake film version of Ikki Kajiwara's Ai to Makoto manga.
Mogura no Uta revolves around Reiji Kikukawa, a police officer who goes undercover to infilitrate a gangster syndicate.
Kankuro Kudo (The Legend of Kamui, Maiko Haaaan!!!, Miike's Zebraman, Ping-Pong, Go) is handling the film's script. The cast and release date has yet to be revealed.
