JASON X (2001)

Ha, and here you thought JASON GOES TO HELL was the final FRIDAY.  2001 saw the return of Jason Voorhees, except he was in the year 2455...and in space.  This is JASON X.  Hint: the X is a play on words, being the tenth (X) movie in the franchise and signifying the tech aspect of the film.

Breakdown:
Set way in the future, Earth is no longer inhabitable, so humans have colonized in outer space. One colony receives two cryogenically frozen bodies, and when they defrost them, one of the bodies turns out to be.....who else? Jason Voorhees. No longer in the forest or Camp Crystal Lake, Jason stalks the colonists in a whole new environment.

My thoughts:
Easily the most entertaining entry in the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise, JASON X is one hell of a fun movie.  Doesn't mean it's a good movie, but fun nonetheless.  Scripted by Todd Farmer, it's clear that he was an F13 fan with knowledge of the F13 history and lore.  I recommend this one.
