While talking to SFX Online, Maddock and S.S. Wilson (the creators of Tremors) explained that they will be writing the third film's script. Maddock will direct with Nancy Roberts as the producer. Shooting is scheduled to start shooting in the fall for a direct to video release in April 2001.
