SHANE GAVIN : CUT 2: The second take: sequels can kill !!!
IT begins where the last film left off. OPENS in the cinema. Except there is one thing that is terribly wrong. All of the students enjoying the film are now enjoying a trip to St. Peter. Corpses litter the cinema as flashes of death crash across the screen. SCARMAN sits in the front row, watching his movie, he's ENJOYING his movie. The LIMB CLIPPERS are dripping blood onto his boot. As we pan up his weapon of choice we come across hair and bone fragments, brain matter and caught in the hinge appears to be a human ear. Than ::::
---BOOM----
The projection room bursts into flames. GLASS showers down from the booth and the celluloid starts whip and crackle under the immense heat. We pan up to see VANNESSA leaving the booth in a hurry. Whilst down below SCARMAN starts to shiver and shake. Than dissolve into nothing. Much like at the end of the first film.
VANNESSA is talking with a group of friends that she works on a soap OPERA with. She is telling them about the whole ordeal. in the meantime the SOAP OPERA that VANNESSA is in "RESTLESS DAYS" has a second wind and is receiving higher rating than night-time sitcoms and is beating every day time talk show. VANNESSA has become a BIG star.
She decides however that her next feature film will be made in Australia. The director will be RAFFY, the genre will be a romantic comedy. Hey they need to get away from it all. The location will be the Sydney Olympics. The producer on the film which is titled "RINGS of LOVE" will be LOSSMAN. VANNESSA will play an AMERICAN Olympic marathon runner who falls in love with a face she glances at in the crowd when she is running for the GOLD. When she finishes the race in an admiral second she starts to stalk in a goofy kind of way the guy that she spies in the crowd. Who happens to be an American tourist. In fact the whole film "RINGS of LOVE" is about a group of athletes and spectators from the USA who have never met in their native country. A group of people that gel so well together that they can not believe that they have not met in their native country. A whole volley of love goes on in "RINGS of GOLD" VANNESSA eventually gets the guy after numerous mishaps and a big AIRPORT sequence.
RAFFY as a director confirms her belief in life and love with the zest she has for making, non-violent, love-based films. RAFFY has completely turned on the kind of films her mother used to make. RAFFY is convinced that if she makes a film about love, and the rest of the world views it, than their will be more LOVE in the world.
Anyhow just as filming begins in Sydney. A forensic in Adelaide comes across some undeveloped 35mm stock in a police store-room. As a hobby she decides to develop the film and find out what is on it. When she realises that it is the footage that DAMIEN taken in the original CUT. She starts to make copies. She knows that she can sell these all around the police station and interstate. She gets hold of a snuff dealer that she knows, and sells him a copy. SCARMAN all this time has come into being again, but is letting the FORENSIC, AYESHA, do what ever it takes to get more copies out into the country. When the snuff dealer starts sending off copies, Australia begins to see who the real freaks are in country. Leading politicians and buisness people start dying at the hands of SCARMAN. SCARMAN can't believe his luck. He is killing so often that he running out of original lines to say when he kills. Sure now and than someone gets away by setting fire to tape, but it does not happen to often.
VANNESSA, RAFFY and LOSSMAN slowly start to cotton onto what is going down, down under. SCARMAN is using HUMAN CURIOSITY AGAINST HUMANS.. In fact when stalking his victims his pick-up lines (as victims watch DAMIEN die) are evil things like, "What are you watching.", "Mind if I take your life", "If you thought that looked horrendous wait till you feel it.", "Curiosity killed the cats owner.", "Would you believe I got a cramp doing that!", "They don't make movies like that anymore kid.", "This is where you scream, than you run around the room, than you realise that nothing you do can ever stop me... Okay, now just put that video cassette down sunshine.", "Who'd a thunk Hot Blooded would make it to DVD, in beautifull snuff-a-rama.", "Don't cry, SCREAM!!!", "I'm not the sicko here, I didn't buy some tape with some poor bastard getting killed by me on it." , "I remember that night on the set, it was a bitch!!".. And I could go on with one liners but I won't.
WHEN RAFFY see's the effect that the rushes of her film had on the audience.. She decides to do some experiments.. It is as if she has inherited the ability to alter reality, with which her mother was obviously endowed with. "RINGS of LOVE" has been causing out breaks of random kindness. IT's AMAZING (yeah look at the other side of the coin, you horror hating sons of bitches that think films cause people to do stuff, if they did there would be love, romance and comedy in the streets too)!!!
After picking each others brains.. They decide they have to make "HOT BLOODED" they have to make it into a ROMANCE. They have to make it into a love story.. A masquerade story. SCARMAN becomes a phantom of the opera type character, the evil escapes the film and is conquered by an overwhelming love narrative.. A Love narrative that knows, no bounds.. (But hey SCARMAN is still doing some serious assed killing while this is happening).. HOT BLOODED is screened. SCARMAN is now a loving soul.. The passion is let out.. SCARMAN's charisma starts to change.
However the real SCARMAN/BRAD just goes schizophrenic after this happens. he turns from love to murderous rampage in 4.2 seconds. The evil HOT BLOODED SCARMAN knows that if he kills RAFFY and destroys the loving HOT BLOODED tapes he will get away with it. SCARMAN is tamed.. As the prints out weigh the video copies circulating. Of which the police have now confisgated.
In his schizophrenic state he manages to get one thing straight. One of the CEO's of a major distribution company got a hold of SCARMANs tape. SCARMAN left him alive as long as the CEO bought world wide distribution rights to HOT BLOODED (the love story). And put it only on a limited release, globally and than never released it to DVD or VIDEO, with a promise never to EVER have it shown on TV.
RAFFY, VANNESSA and LOSSMAN walk out all proud of themselves on their way to another happy ending.
The very final sequence is SCARMAN sitting in some computer geeks bedroom. The Geek somehow got a copy of the DAMIEN tape. She pleads for her life, she says she can convert it to a mpeg/ mov/ real media format and SCARMAN can be seen by everyone over the Internet. She can email it out in a massive EMAIL letterbomb. That will hit over 30,000 email addresses.. The message title is simple enough. "Special offer inside.." . As she hits send, SCARMAN launces at her.... (CUT)
