It seems that the third Batman film in Christopher Nolan's series will be filmed totally in IMAX. This comes from Moviehole...
"You haven't heard Christian Bale Growl Until You've Heard it in IMAX!"
Harry Knowles is reporting that Christopher Nolan's next "Batman" movie (the one he hasn't officially signed on for yet; yeah, right!) might be filmed completely in IMAX.
You'll recall Nolan filmed the impressive opening sequence for "The Dark Knight" (the robbery sequence featuring The Joker) using the technology.
Says Knowles, "Part of the reason that Nolan went forward with INCEPTION first - besides taking a creative break from the cape and cowl adventures... was possibly to create a few new IMAX cameras made to his specs. Once again - the cost of shooting an entire feature film on IMAX... the stock, the time it takes to reset, to load, to move the cameras... Well... it is daunting, but as Nolan proved with DARK KNIGHT - the difference is stunning."
I don't give a shit what stock he uses, so long as he shoots this thing soon!
