Previously…

Chris Zylka (TV’s “Ten Things I Hate About You”) is said to have snagged the role of ‘Flash’ Thompson in director Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man”.

Thompson, of course, is the school stud and star footballer player who relentlessly picks on Peter Parker.

Over at Zylka’s Twitter page, the actor responds to someone congratulating him on snagging the role in “Spider-Man”. His response? Thank You”.
Comic Book Movie have confirmed that the role is Thompson.

“Twilight” star Taylor Lautner was once linked to the role of Thompson. “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello played the role of Thompson in the Sam Raimi directed “Spider-Man”.

“Spider-Man”, out 2012, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
