Veteran sci-fi actress Jeri Ryan posted on her Twitter today that she's officially going to be in the new Mortal Kombat mini-series, reprising her role as Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat Rebirth.
"JeriLRyan (Jeri Ryan)
Heading to the farmer's market with the hubs & my girl. Then this evening I head to Vancouver to shoot Mortal Kombat! (NOW it's official)"
Like a victim of Sonya's classic "kiss of death", the long awaited Mortal Kombat 3 film bit the dust and never got off the ground. For fans this mini-series is a godsend. Ryan will also soon be seen in ABC's new midseason series Body of Proof.
