Though it is considered a prequel of the famous Alien franchise, the filmmakers ensure that it isn't a direct prequel but does incorporate elements of the franchise in the film. It will star Rooney Mara from the American version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
It has been fifteen years since Alien: Resurrection and it is great to know that Ridley Scott, the director of the original Alien, is directing. 'Prometheus' will be released in theatres on June 8th of this year.
The trailer looks amazing and it will be interesting to see just how it ties up to the Alien franchise.
