'Knight Rider' Movie Grabs Comedy Scribe

A feature film adaptation of the hit '80s TV show Knight Rider is inching closer and closer.  Brad Copeland has been hired to pen the screenplay for the project.  And although the two TV incarnations of the show took a more serious tone, it might do this reboot some good to go the comedy route (see 21 Jump Street).
A film version of the popular '80s TV show is gaining momentum, with the Weinstein Co., which owns feature rights, bringing on filmmaker Brad Copeland to write a draft of the script, according to a person familiar with the production who was not authorized to talk about it publicly.
