In 2007 we witnessed Rob Zombie bring Michael Myers back through a remake.  He swore he was done with the HALLOWEEN franchise.  Blah, blah -- in 2009 we got Zombie's HALLOWEEN II.

Michael Myers is still at large and no less dangerous than ever. After a failed reunion to reach his baby sister at their old home, Laurie Strode is immediately taken to a hospital to be treated by the wounds that had been afflicted by her brother a few hours ago. However, Michael isn't too far off and will continue his murdering 'Halloween' rampage until he gets his sister all to himself.

My thoughts:
In all brutal honesty...I loved HALLOWEEN II.  Every bat-shit-crazy second of it.  Rob Zombie, more or less, followed "studio guidelines" for his 2007 remake.  But for his 2009 sequel, he really took it and ran with it and gave us a chapter in the HALLOWEEN franchise that shouldn't ever be forgotten.  There's a lot of hate surrounding this movie and it sort of bugs me.  This isn't Carpenter's Myers.  It's Zombie's.  And it rocks.  Tyler Mane once again brought the pain in his portrayal of the masked maniac.  The director's cut is a must-see.
