HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION (2002)

Some sequels are expected. Some sequels come out of nowhere. This is a sequel that is a little mix of both. All the pieces are there, but yet, somehow, it's just an odd entry that doesn't really do anything other than have a sort of unnecessary opening sequence. This is 2002's Halloween: Resurrection.

BREAKDOWN:
From simon on IMDb...

Serial Killer Michael Myers is not finished with Laurie Strode, and their rivalry finally comes to an end. But is this the last we see of Myers? Freddie Harris and Nora Winston are reality programmers at DangerTainment, and are planning to send a group of 6 thrill-seeking teenagers into the childhood home of Myers. Cameras are placed all over the house and no one can get out of the house... and then Michael arrives home!

MY THOUGHTS:
Where to start? 1998's Halloween H20 had a terrific ending for the franchise. But money is money. Now I always thought Myers' "resurrection" was a lazy cop-out, but as it turns out, Michael's escape in H20 was actually planned while filming H20. Yeah, true story. Resurrection is a fun entry, but definitely not a good entry. It feels more like a Michael Myers movie for the sake of having a Michael Myers movie. Should've stuck with one of the original working titles, like Halloween: The Homecoming, Halloween H2K, or Halloween: MichaelMyers.com.
