Fans of the hit TV show (and movie!) Friday Night Lights rejoice! A reboot series is on its way to Peacock!
The “Friday Night Lights” reboot series has landed at Peacock in a highly competitive situation, Variety has confirmed.
The series is now in development at the NBCUniversal streaming service. It was reported in November that a new version of the series was in the works, but it was not set up at a streaming service at that time.
The official logline for the new series states, “Following a devastating hurricane, a rag tag high school football team and their damaged, interim coach make an unlikely bid for a Texas High School State Championship becoming a beacon of light for their town.”
