The found footage movie Cloverfield has gotten two loose spinoff sequels, but it appears a legit Cloverfield 2 is finally happening. Director Babak Anvari recently spoke to the YouTube channel Countdown City Geeks and mentioned the super-secret sequel briefly.
“So sad that I cannot [say anything], because everyone on that team, they’re very secretive. Which I understand,” Anvari told the outlet. “But I love your excitement. And whatever happens, just know that hopefully you’re gonna get something amazing.”
