It's just getting sad at this point. Melissa Barrera, who was famously let go from Scream 7, is speaking out in a new interview and claiming that the franchise-best box office numbers for the seventh film are false and the studio is lying about the numbers. Can't make this up. She also claims the actors who appeared in the movie are scabs. Yeah, still can't make it up.
This was her response after the interviewer stated that the seventh movie sucked:
I know. And I think they lied about the numbers. I don’t think it made that much money. But at the stage door, I sign “Scream” things every night. People who love me from those movies are coming to see the show, and they can’t ever take that away from me.
And then the interviewer asks if the legacy cast members returning was a scabby thing to do and Melissa fires this response:
Oh, one hundred percent. I think they all are. And they have to live with that. The only way they were able to make that movie after what happened was to nostalgia-bait as much as possible.
This is just an insane interview. Where do you stand?
