Did The Blumhouse 'Halloween' Trilogy Fail?

JoBlo released a video about a month ago detailing how the Blumhouse Halloween trilogy failed. And it got me thinking: did it? I believe there are aspects of the trilogy that are executed better than any of the previous sequels. Perhaps had we gotten the original intended version of Ends things might be a little different. Check out the video below...

Blumhouse’s Halloween trilogy started with massive hype and one of the strongest openings the franchise had seen in decades. Halloween 2018 felt like the perfect modern continuation of John Carpenter’s classic. But somewhere along the way, the trilogy lost focus. Between divisive creative choices, tonal shifts, and one of the most controversial endings in horror franchise history, fans became increasingly split with every new installment. So how did a trilogy that started so strong end up collapsing by the end? Let’s break down what went wrong with David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy.

For the record, I'm an Ends defender.
