While chatting with Entertainment Weekly, Tyra Banks was asked about her time making Halloween: Resurrection 25 years ago. Banks, however, does not look back fondly on the experience.
“No,” Banks, 52, tells Entertainment Weekly when asked if she looks back fondly on making the 2002 movie. “Not even a little bit. Like, not even a tiny bit.”
“I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that.’ What is it going to do for my career? I’m a model, and I need to do things that are kind of different to get this acting career that I want,” Banks recalls telling the agent, whom she didn’t identify. “He was like, ‘No, Josh Hartnett did Halloween, and look what he’s doing now!’”
“So I was like, yeah, okay, this is going to do it for me,” Banks says. But, “Not only did it not do anything for me, they cut the damn death scene.”
Banks’ character is indeed killed by Myers in the film, and viewers get a quick shot of her body — though the actual death scene isn’t shown. The deleted scene featuring Banks’ death is available to watch online in various ripped formats, though.
In the end, Banks lightheartedly tells EW she was “promised the career of Josh Hartnett, of an actor, and promised an iconic death scene that will last forever, and neither of them happened.”
