A sequel to the 2010 Mark Wahlberg boxing movie The Fighter is already being discussed in the offices at Closest to the Hole Productions. Wahlberg has been quoted saying that he feels the film really deserves a sequel, but in the vein of Rocky, but a continuation of "Irish" Mickey Ward's real-life boxing career. The story is really just getting started.
So I'd at least one sequel could work, but any more...no. What do you think? Is a sequel to The Fighter a good idea? A bad idea? And why?
