Sony CEO Letting Others Make First Move On Next Gen Consoles

This may be a good marketing strategy for Sony or it could prove to be a bad move.  Regardless, the next gen console war is heating up!

Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai stated that as far as the next generation of gaming consoles is concerned, he will let others like Nintendo and Microsoft make the first move. "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?" Hirai said in a Monday article in the British newspaper The Times.
Analyst Colin Sebastian of Baird Equity Research projected that Sony and Microsoft's next generation of consoles will cost about US$400. He added that the Xbox 720 is expected for release in November, while the PlayStation 4 could possibly be later due to "early production issues."

You can already see that Kazuo Hirai has something up his sleeve.  Maybe.  So, what do you think?  Is this  a good decision from the Sony CEO?  Would you rather have the Playstation 4 come out first?
