Another movie adaptation of the classic '80s TV series Miami Vice is on the way. And they look like they've found their Crockett and Tubbs in Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan. Previously, a movie was adapted in 2006 with Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell.
Austin Butler is in talks to play James “Sonny” Crockett in director Joseph Kosinski‘s planned adaptation of the 1980s NBC series that saw Don Johnson originate the role. The Hollywood Reporter reported earlier this week that Michael B. Jordan is in talks to portray fellow Miami undercover detective Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs, which was Philip Michael Thomas’ role on the show.
