In October of 1978, one of the most innovative and groundbreaking horror films ever made was released. Three years later, we learned that the nightmare was far from over. This is 1981's Halloween II.
BREAKDOWN:
From IMDb:
After Dr. Samuel Loomis shoots Michael Myers six times, Michael escapes and is now on the loose in Haddonfield. Laurie Strode is taken to the hospital, and Dr. Loomis continues to hunt down Michael with the help of the police. Michael continues killing the citizens of Haddonfield and heads to the hospital to kill Laurie. It's now up to an injured Laurie and Dr. Loomis to stop Michael and his murderous rampage.
MY THOUGHTS:
Halloween II is a bonafide classic. No disputing that. In fact, it is a lot of fans' favorite entry, even surpassing the original. I'm a huge fan of the TV cut and am very happy that Scream Factory included it in their Blu-ray box set from a few years back. Gotta love that synth Halloween theme!
