"My lovely girlfriend and I were heading to Union Station in Washington DC to check out the touring Tyrannosaurus Sue. When we got there, we were pushed away from the section of the station where the skeleton is. I wondered why, then looked down and noticed a sign saying basically ‘We're filming a movie here - Hannibal - and by being in the area you are consenting to be in the movie.’ Cool! "So like everyone else, we moved to a section where we could see better, and saw them filming a couple of scenes with Julianne Moore and Anthony Hopkins. Wow! I've read and enjoyed the books, and I can't necessarily recall Hannibal coming to DC, but I guess somebody saw the dinosaur and thought it would be a great place to film.
“The bit I saw was Clarice standing in front of the dinosaur with an earplug in her ear -- then there is a ‘boom’ and she looks around, shocked. Moore's hair is longer and redder than Jodie Foster's Clarice (of course…interesting they didn't try to make her look a bit more like Foster's Clarice). And Hopkins looked a bit worse for wear -- he's packed on a few pounds (maybe he already ate a few folks to get into character) and his hair is just about gone."

"The inside of the club is a double-decker country club that attracts mostly Southern White Americans. The first floor has a down-home eating setting with small tables for two speckled all around and full bar in back. It reminds me of the Dukes of Hazard hangout (except a little bigger).
