After a long audition process, it looks like MGM has found their Carrie. Chloe Moretz has been offered the role but negotiations are still going on. Chloe Moretz is definitely becoming a big name in movies lately with big roles in Kick-Ass, Let Me In and the Martin Scorsese helmed Hugo.
Once they get her to commit to the film, they will then focus on getting the supporting characters including the crazy mom that was originally played by Piper Laurie.
Once the film is made and released, there will definitely be comparisons between Sissy Spacek's performance and Moretz's.
