A remake for 1977's classic horror thriller Suspiria will be directed by The Sitter's David Gordon Green from a script he co-wrote with Chris Gebert.
The film is about Suzie who travels to Europe to attend a world renowned school. After a series of brutal murders, the young American student learns that the academy has secrets that are related to something more sinister. The original had a lot of blood and had a surreal supernatural feel.
Crime Scene Pictures is backing the film and production is set to begin in September.
Crime Scene partners Ripp and Paris said in a statement, “We love the style and energy of the original film – and David’s script brilliantly updates the world, presenting a rare opportunity to create an elegant, classic horror film,”
