CHILD'S PLAY 3 (1991)

It's never a bad time to take a look at a Chucky film.  So naturally, let's look at 1991's CHILD'S PLAY 3, which was the most rushed sequel in the franchise, filmed months after CP2.

Breakdown:
It's been eight years since the events in the second film, we now see that Andy is a teenager who has been enrolled in a military school. Play Pals Toy Company decides to re-release its Good Guys line, feeling that after all this time, the bad publicity has died down. As they re-used old materials, the spirit of Charles Lee Ray once again comes to life. In his search for Andy, Chucky falls into the hands of a younger boy, and he realizes that it may be easier to transfer his soul into this unsuspecting child. Andy is the only one who knows what Chucky is up to, and it's now up to him to put a stop to it.

My thoughts:
CHILD'S PLAY 3 is one of those sequels that it just "is what it is".  It picks up 8 years after CP2, making Andy Barclay 16 years old.  And though rushed, I've always enjoyed CP3.  What I've always thought was interesting is that according to the timeline, CP3 takes place 10 years after the 1988 original, making the year 1998, the same year that BRIDE OF CHUCKY was released (and takes place).  So essentially, BOC takes place just weeks/months after CP3.

But, yeah, I liked CP3.
