Horror movies involving unborn babies, oh my! This sequel was deemed somewhat controversial back in the day, but it comes across pretty tame compared to some of today's indie horror movies. This is 1989's A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child.
BREAKDOWN:
The pregnant Alice finds Freddy Krueger striking through the sleeping mind of her unborn child, hoping to be reborn into the real world.
MY THOUGHTS:
Is Nightmare 5 good? No. Is it fun? Yes. Is it watchable? Totally. After the success of The Dream Master (the "MTV" fourth Freddy movie) it was safe to assume Freddy would return. I like that the survivors of Part 4 return in Part 5...sort of makes it feel like a Part 4 Chapter 2. I dig it. Not as good as Dream Warriors or The Dream Master, but The Dream Child is a worthy and classic entry in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series.
