It's been a loooong minute since we've had a new entry in the Sequel-a-Day category. Well, let's fix that today with this 2020 sequel that had good intentions but ultimately proves that to be a let down because it wasn't risqué enough. This is American Pie Presents: Girls' Rules.
BREAKDOWN:
It's Senior year at East Great Falls. Annie, Kayla, Michelle, and Stephanie decide to harness their girl power and band together to get what they want their last year of high school.
MY THOUGHTS:
I'm a sucker for the entire American Pie franchise. That's been well-documented. But what did I think about Girls' Rules? It has its moments. But it ultimately fails at capturing that raunchy humor and attitude that the earlier American Pie Presents movies had (like Band Camp, The Naked Mile, etc.). It's funny. But it's not FUN.
