Peacock's new The 'Burbs series has added five new faces to join Keke Palmer and a new plot that is actually quite different than the original 1989 movie has been revealed.
Jack Whitehall (“Jungle Cruise,” “The Afterparty 2”), Julia Duffy (“Palm Royale,” “Newhart”), Paula Pell (“Girls5eva,” “Saturday Night Live”), Mark Proksch (“What We Do In The Shadows,” “The Office”), and Kapil Talwalkar (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” “Night Court”) have all been cast in the series version of the 1989 dark comedy of the same name.
And an official logline has been released as well:
“Set in present-day suburbia, ‘The ‘Burbs’ follows a young couple (Palmer, Whitehall) who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.”
