Shortly after the release of Saw X, an official announcement for Saw XI was made for a November 2024 release. Well, obviously that date has come and gone with no movement on an eleventh Saw film. And today, news on the matter has been reported.
“It’s totally dead,” the source tells us. “It’s 100% over. Almost a year now.”
Now, we've known for a while that there was some bad blood between the producers which might've delayed the release of Saw XI, but it appears that bad blood isn't going away and not only is Saw XI seemingly dead, but perhaps the franchise.
In addition, Saw stars Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith and Costas Mandylor were to return to their roles for this outing. However, the release date was eventually pushed back by a year in the spring of 2024, placing its new release date at September 26th, 2025.
So what happened?!
According to the source, “Everything went sideways in January 2024 … the producers started fighting.” While one producer attempted to “plow forward” with the film, the other “put up roadblocks,” stifling Saw XI’s production.
So, as it stands, this is literally a "wait and see" thing now.
