'Man Of Steel' Logo Art Revealed

The logo and title art for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot Man of Steel has been released.  Personally, I think the new Superman "S" is pretty sweet.  And the font style for title is right on par with what I expected it to be -- in the vein of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and of course Superman Returns.  I guess most of the DC titles will look like this -- which I like.

In all honesty, I'm actually super excited for a trailer for Man of Steel to be released.  Hell, even a teaser for a teaser trailer; now that's saying a lot.

So what do you think?  Do you like the new Superman logo (you can click it to enlarge it, ya'know)?

Teaser Trailer For 'Total Recall' (2012)

Can anyone tell me why we need teaser trailers?

Anyway, on a more offical note, Total Recall stars Colin Farrell in the role originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and also stars, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston.  The film is being directed by Live Free Or Die Hard director Len Wiseman.

Apparently, the film will be a much more politically charged film than the 1990 original film.

The film is set to be released on August 3rd.

Are you excited for this remake?

Latest Trailer For Thriller 'House At The End Of The Street'

The film stars Jennifer Lawrence of The Hunger Games and Winter's Bone as the daughter of her divorced mother played by Elisabeth Shue, who moves in with her.  They find out that the house next door and the community isn't all that it seems to be.

The film is set to be released in theatres Septmeber 21st.

The thriller is directed by Mark Tonderai and written by David Loucka which is based on a short story by Jonathan Mostow, most notably the director of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

New List Of Candidates For 'Captain America' Sequel

Shane Black is going to be directing Iron Man 3 and Thor has Alan Taylor to helm the sequel so now what aboutCaptain America?  There is a list of candidates for the new sequel for Captain America and some you may not expect.

Vulture lists directors from F. Gary Gray, George Nolfi and Community co-directors Anthony and Joseph Russo who are all up for the job.

Captain America is scheduled to hit theatres sometime in 2014 so I'm sure Marvel will want to get their director as soon as possible.

I have a potential choice.  What about McG of Charlie's Angels and Terminator Salvation?  Or what about Clint Eastwood?  Okay, that last one was just a joke.

'Prometheus' And 'The Expendables 2' May End Up With PG-13 Rating

The MPAA rating system is definitely up for debate as to whether or not it has been a good thing or a bad thing for movies.  One movie that gets the PG-13 rating today would have gotten the R rating 20 years ago (mainly because the PG-13 rating wasn't around yet... Thanks a lot  Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!)

Whether you agree with it or not, we have to live with it for a long time until someone comes up with something better.

So, with Prometheus, director Ridley Scott said that he wanted to get as close to an R rating as possible. Of course, this is all about making as much money as you can because it's easier to go see a PG-13 film with family than it is for an R rating.  But it's a shame because a film like Promethus deserves the R rating especially since it's a so-called prequel to Alien.

Now a film like The Expendables 2, that is pretty much an action fans fantasy courtesy of explosions, hand to hand combat and guns, should get an R rating for the actio…

'Twins' Sequel 'Triplets' Is On The Way

A sequel to the 1988 film Twins starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito is on the way -- aptly titled Triplets.  In the film, the two brothers, Julius (Schwarzenegger) and Vincent (DeVito) find out that they actually have a third brother, who will be played by...Eddie Murphy.

Original director Ivan Reitman will not be returning to direct, but he will be co-producing the flick.  The actors mentioned are confirmed to be attached to the project, which is currently seeking writers to develop the full idea/story.

Universal and Montecito Picture Co. are hoping to get the project rolling as soon as possible.

So, I ask you, are you ready for a sequel to Twins?

Latest Trailer For 'Hotel Transylvania' Starring The Voice Of Adam Sandler

From Sony Pictures Animation, Hotel Transylvania stars Adam Sandler voices Dracula, who invites some of the most famous monsters to his place including, Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, a family of werewolves and the Invisible Man, to celebrate his daughter Mavis' 118th birthday (long life).  An ordinary guy comes stumbling along and tickles his fancy for Mavis.

Adam Sandler has had his share of misses at the box office, most recently Jack and Jill, so maybe this will help him out a bit.

The film will also star the voices of Andy Samberg, Kevin James, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi and David Spade.
The film is set to be released on September 28th of this year.
Are you excited for Hotel Transylvania?

Ron Burgundy Will Be Back In 'Anchorman 2'

Adam McKay is coming back to produce and direct the film and co-write the script with Will Ferrell and stars Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd are set to reunite.  Christina Applegate and David Koechner are still up in the air.

Justin Lin To Direct Adaptation Of 'Lone Wolf and Cub'

Justin Lin is a busy guy.  He's already directed three films in the Fast and the Furious franchise and looks to be at the helm for this adaptation.

I have never heard of the manga but it contains samurais so you can expect some great samurai swordfighting action.

Manga adaptations haven't been very good as of yet in Hollywood with Katsuhiro Otomo's 'Akira' being stuck in development hell and one that was actually made was Akira Toriyama's 'Dragonball'.  'Dragonball: Evolution' anyone???

Let's hope that this film will be faithful to the manga.

Not One, But Two 'Child's Play' Projects In The Works

A remake to the cult/mainstream classic Child's Play has been in the early stages of development for several years now.  But today we were hit with some even more news -- not only is the remake still in the cards, but a sequel/spin-off to the original series is in the works as well, Revenge of Chucky.

There are reportedly two “Child’s Play” projects in the works: a remake and a spin-off of sorts involving Chucky’s immediate family, “Revenge of Chucky.” The reunion panel featured Alex Vincent, Brad Dourif and Chris Sarandon and Dourif confirmed that he’s involved in both projects but has not seen a script for the “Child’s Play” remake yet. Don Mancini and David Kirschner have been planning to reboot the franchise for several years, and this remake will be written and directed by Mancini. The film will be a darker and scarier retelling of the original film, but one that will offer new twists and turns. So what do you make of this revelation?  If you're a Chucky fan, then it'…

MGM Offers 'Carrie' Role To Chloe Moretz

After a long audition process, it looks like MGM has found their Carrie.  Chloe Moretz has been offered the role but negotiations are still going on.

Chloe Moretz is definitely becoming a big name in movies lately with big roles in Kick-Ass, Let Me In and the Martin Scorsese helmed Hugo.

Once they get her to commit to the film, they will then focus on getting the supporting characters including the crazy mom that was originally played by Piper Laurie.

Once the film is made and released, there will definitely be comparisons between Sissy Spacek's performance and Moretz's.

What do you think of this casting choice?  Is it the right one?

Latest Trailer For The Sacha Baron Cohen Comedy 'The Dictator'

Sacha Baron Cohen's new film, 'The Dictator' is about a dictator who ensures that democracy never come to his country.  It is inspired by the best selling novel Zabibah and The King by Saddam Hussein.

Judging from the trailer, the film isn't in the documentary style that Cohen's previous films such as Bruno and Borat were filmed like.

The film also stars Ben Kingsley, Anna Faris and John C. Reilly.

'The Dictator' will be released in theatres May 11th.

'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 has been released.  One film to go and this whole Twihard era can be over -- that is, unless Stephanie Meyer decides to write another book (which I guess she is)...

After 20 Years, 'Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor' Hits DVD

After 20 years, afull-length feature film DVD for Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor is finally here.  If you remember, some production footage for SC4 was available when the original Sleepaway Camp Survivor Kit was released.  The film began production in the early '90s and was later abandoned.  Since then, Return to Sleepaway Camp was released, a direct sequel to the original.

'Carrie' Remake Down To Two Actresses For Lead

The search for the new Carrie is almost over -- and the field has narrowed to two: Chloe Moretz (Kick Ass) and Haley Bennett (Lawless).
Warm up the bucket of pig blood — we’re getting closer to finding us a Carrie! A gaggle of actresses have been reading for the lead role in Kimberly Peirce’s adaptation of Stephen King's book (which will reportedly hew closer to the source than Brian DePalma's 1976 horror classic), and now we're told the field has narrowed to two main contenders: the 15-year-old ChloĆ« Moretz (Kick-Ass) and the 24-year-old Haley Bennett, who is starring with Ryan Gosling in Terrence Malick's next project, Lawless. These two sit at the top of a list of candidates that has included such young up-and-comers as Dakota Fanning (all growed up and, lately, a Volturi in Twilight), Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Bella Heathcote (In Time), and Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror), who have all read for Peirce. We also hear that earlier this week, The Descendants' Sh…

Will Ferrell To Star In 'Crazy U'?

Crazy U is about a dad who tries to do anything to get his son into "the most sought after and expensive private college consultant in the country".
Will Ferrell has starred in a lot of comedy films such as 'Old School', 'Anchorman' and 'The Other Guys' but my personal favorite film of his right now is 'Everything Must Go' in which he plays a down on his luck guy who decides to hold a garage sale of all his belongings.  It's a great film.

Will Ferrell's latest film, Casa De Mi Padre, hasn't done so well in the box office, only making a little more than $4 million dollars but the budget for the film was only about $6 million so it isn't too bad.
I personally, want to see Casa De Mi Padre but I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

For Will Ferrell, it will be interesting to see him play a dad.

What do you think?  A good casting choice?

Michael Bay's Adaptation Of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Receives New Title

As we all know, Michael Bay is making a new film about the Turtles but the Turtles are not mutants... they are aliens which is supported by co-creator Peter Laird.

We also know that he had a message to the fans of the Turtles telling them to chill out and not to jump to any conclusions because he making a richer world for them.  We will see.

From Bleeding Cool, the new title for the film looks to be supporting Bay's idea of a "richer world"  and also looks like he is making the turtles not teenagers by simply calling the film just, 'Ninja Turtles'.  Yes, it's just a title but a title tells you a lot about a film and the title definitely helps the argument from the fans that Bay is completely changing a lot of the backstory.

The film is being funded by Nickelodeon and Paramount and will be produced by Bay and I'm sure is also helping out with the script.

How will this all turn out?  If the backstory is going to be a lot different than what the fans of…

New 'Detention' Poster Is Simply Awesome

Joseph Kahn's new high school serial killer slasher Detention has a new badass poster.  The film hits theaters April 13, 2012 and stars Dane Cook, Josh Hutcherson, and Spencer Locke.

'The Hangover Part III' Gets A Release Date

Warner Bros. has officially greenlit The Hangover Part III and has it currently slated for a May 2013 release.  Production is set to begin September 2012.  Check out the official press release below...
BURBANK, CA, March 22, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are reteaming with Todd Phillips for “The Hangover Part III,” the third installment in the record-breaking comedy franchise, which is slated for release on May 24, 2013. The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “The Hangover Part III” will star Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, who will reprise the roles of Phil, Stu and Alan, collectively known to moviegoers as “the Wolfpack.” In the previous two films, the three friends’ attempts to plan a celebration have resulted in disaster for them, but led to a combined billion-dollar success at the worldwide box office. In making the announcement, Robinov stated, “We are extremely pleased to have Todd Phillips …

Could Johnny Depp Have A Role In 'Beetlejuice 2'?

Could Johnny Depp possibly have a role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice 2?  With the release of Dark Shadows, it'll mark the tenth time the duo has teamed up.  Just don't expect Depp to be in the title role -- that's still 100% Michael Keaton's baby.

Latest Trailer For David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis'

The film stars Robert Pattinson as a millionaire and his trek across Manhattan.  You can expect the trademark violence and mayhem from director David Cronenberg, most famous for films such as Scanners, Videodrome and A History of Violence.

The film will also star Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche and Kevin Durand.

It will be nice to see Robert Pattinson in a more adult and mature role so it will be interesting to see if he is capable to handle such roles and to get away from the 'Twilight' saga.

'Cosmopolis' is set to be released May 23rd of this year.

Latest Trailer For Farrelly Brothers' 'The Three Stooges'

The latest trailer for 'The Three Stooges' from the Farrelly Brothers is here.  From these trailers, the filmmakers definitely got the slapstick right that the Stooges were famous for.  Moe is played by Chris Diamantopoulos, Larry is played by Sean Hayes and Curly is played by Will Sasso.

The film will be divided into three segments with a stand-alone story, each being 27 minutes long, set during the present day, definitely keeping in line with the short film format the Stooges did during their careers.

NBA player Dwight Howard will make a cameo as well as the Jersey Shore cast.

I can't wait for this film to come out as it is being released in theatres April 13th.

What do you think?  Let us know in the comments.

Is Ben Stiller Teasing 'Zoolander 2'?

Ben Stiller had a pretty interesting tweet earlier in the day that one could take a possible Zoolander 2 tease -- or it could just be Stiller having a little fun with pal Owen Wilson.  Either way, it's pretty amusing.

Brett Ratner To Direct 'Midnight Run 2'

Brett Ratner is in final negotiations to direct Midnight Run 2.  Robert DeNiro is set to reprise his role as Jack Walsh and it is unclear whether or not Charles Grodin will be back, but all signs are starting to point to yes.
EXCLUSIVE: Universal Pictures is picking up steam on Midnight Run 2, setting scribes David Elliot & Paul Lovett to rewrite it, and negotiating with Brett Ratner to helm a sequel that has Robert De Niro attached to reprise his role as bounty hunter Jack Walsh. De Niro and Jane Rosenthal’s Tribeca is producing with Ratner’s Rat Entertainment. The studio and Tribeca put the wheels in motion on the sequel early last year, when they hired Tim Dowling to write a draft. Elliot & Lovett, who were writers on G.I. TV: 'The Legend Of Korra' Trailer

'The Legend of Korra' will be about a girl named Korra, a teenager from the Water tribe and the current incarnation of the Avatar who has mastered Waterbending, Firebending and Earthbending but hasn't mastered Airbending yet.

The show is set for 26 episodes.

I am very excited for this as I was a big fan of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' and look forward to seeing the adventures of Korra.

Michael Bay Responds To 'Ninja Turtle' Feedback

A few days ago Michael Bay talked about how the turtles in his new live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be from an alien race -- thus, completely changing the turtle's origin story.  The fans snapped back, scolding the thought.

Well, Bay released this shortly after on his website...
Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world. So is your faith still lost?

Jessica Biel Joins 'Psycho' Making-Of Movie

Jessica Biel (TV's 7th Heaven, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003) has joined the cast of Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho -- she will be portraying the role of Vera Miles/Lila Crane.

Another interesting tidbit: James D'Arcy is up for the role of Anthony Perkins/Norman Bates.
Jessica Biel has joined the cast of Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, playing actress Vera Miles, EW can confirm. (Deadline initially reported the casting.) Miles played Lila Crane, the heroine of the 1960 horror classic who visits the Bates Motel is search of her missing sister, Janet Leigh’s doomed Marion, to be portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. TV: 'Mockingbird Lane' Has Its Grandpa Munster

The TV reboot for The Munsters, which is now being called Mockingbird Lane, has cast its first actor for the role of Grandpa Munster -- Eddie Izzard (TV's The Riches).NBC’s Munsters reboot has adopted its first family member: Eddie Izzard! Sources confirm to TVLine that the former Riches patriarch is nearing a deal to play Grandpa in the high profile pilot, which is now being called Mockingbird Lane. The role was originated by Al Lewis in classic ’60s version. The project, which was originally slated to go into production this month but got pushed back until early summer due to casting issues, is being stewarded by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and X-Men auteur Bryan Singer. Whereas the original was a comedy, the remake is being billed by NBC as a “visually spectacular one hour drama.” Source: TV Line

'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' Official Trailer

The four crazy characters from the first two are back for more adventures and fun.  Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith and David Schwimmer are back voicing their beloved characters Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe with new actors coming along for the ride such as Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain and Martin Short.

Though not the most exciting trailer, it definitely looks to be a good film for the whole family.

The story revolves around the four characters taking their journey through Europe, where they find the perfect cover: a travelling circus and gives it the Madagascar treatment.  The film is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2012

Michael Bay To Take The 'Mutant' Out Of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

Well, Michael Bay, you already have TMNT fans mad at you and you haven't even started making the remake.  It seems that Michael Bay, who is producing the remake to the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles' is going to make the Turtles an alien race rather than mutants as they originially are.
As pretty much everyone knows, the Turtles are mutants who know martial arts and have a rat named Splinter as their master.

I used to watch the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' cartoon and watched the live-action movies.  It was part of my childhood and I never, in a million years, thought someone would do something so drastically different from the original comics, cartoons and live-action films.

Jonathan Liebesman, who directed 'Wrath Of The Titans', is set to direct this remake.

Now, when the film comes out next Christmas, I will give it a chance and watch it so we will see how it turns out.   Who knows, maybe there will be huge explosions.

What do you think?  Let us kn…

'Snow White And The Huntsman' Official Trailer Debuts

After a few sneak peeks to the film, there is now an official trailer for 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.  The action fantasy film stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron.  Don't worry, the seven dwarves will also appear in the film and will be played by such actors like Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost and Bob Hoskins.  The film will be directed by Rupert Sanders.

It is definitely a unique take on the Snow White story and the other Snow White related film coming out, 'Mirror Mirror' is more of a comedy and is coming out at the end of this month.

Warwick Davis Talks 'Leprechaun' Remake

It was announced last week that Lionsgate was teaming with WWE Studios to remake Leprechaun for the big screen.  Everyone from the original's creator to die hard fans seem to be okay with the idea...except Warwick Davis, who's played the title role in all six Leprechaun films.

In a recent Facebook chat, this is was Mr. Davis had to say...

"I think it would be a shame to remake the original 'Leprechaun' film. It is a cult classic. It should not be touched in the same way the[y] should not have remade 'Psycho'. I think there is a lot more to explore with the character, so that should be done with a sequel." He's got a valid point.  Yes, I do consider the original film to be a cult classic, but I definitely wouldn't put it up there with the likes of Psycho.

"I pitched the 'Lep vs. Pirates' idea to Johnny Depp while we were shooting 'Life's Too Short'," Davis says. "He didn't say much. There is so much pote…

'Home Alone 5' To Premiere On ABC This December

ABC Family is planning to premiere Home Alone 5: Alone in the Dark this December for their "25 Days of Christmas" lineup.  The will focus on a young boy, Finn, who's family moves from California to Maine.  Finn suspects that the house is haunted and sets traps to catch the ghosts, but instead stymies 3 would-be burglars.

This sounds like it could be better than the awful Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House -- so let's hope so.  But my gut instinct tells me this is another attempt at trying to launch a Home Alone TV series, which is how HA4 came about in the first place.  Only time will tell...
Macaulay Culkin’s career may not be what it once was, but the franchise that shot him to fame apparently lives on. ABC Family has just announced the start of production on Home Alone 5: Alone in the Dark, which will premiere on TV later this year as part of the network’s “25 Days of Christmas” programming block. And before you even ask, no, Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern …

'Jurassic Park 3D' Coming July 2013

This was only a matter of time before it was to be conceived.  And I, for one, am actually welcoming this 3D flick with open arms.  Jurassic Park 3D is slated for a July 2013 release.
With Titanic 3D on its way next month and presumably five more post-converted Star Wars films coming too, the greedy trend of re-releasing classic films in 3D shows no signs of stopping. In fact, it's just expanded over to what might be the biggest touchstone of 90s nostalgia beyond Titanic-- yes, they've finally gotten their hands on Jurassic Park. The LA Times confirms the long-rumored story that Universal will re-release Jurassic Park in 3D, now scheduled for a July 2013 release. That's pretty confident scheduling, indicating that Universal thinks a re-release of 20-year-old summer blockbuster can hold its own against new films-- that month we're also scheduled to see Spielberg's new film Robopocalypse, Despicable Me 2 and The Wolverine. Of course, they're probably right. Jura…

Official Trailer For Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Debuts

Though it is considered a prequel of the famous Alien franchise, the filmmakers ensure that it isn't a direct prequel but does incorporate elements of the franchise in the film.  It will star Rooney Mara from the American version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

It has been fifteen years since Alien: Resurrection and it is great to know that Ridley Scott, the director of the original Alien, is directing.  'Prometheus' will be released in theatres on June 8th of this year.

The trailer looks amazing and it will be interesting to see just how it ties up to the Alien franchise.

'Men In Black 3' Gets New Official Website

It's been about ten years since 'Men In Black 2' and Sony is already gearing up for the third and latest installment of the Men In Black series with the official website for 'Men In Black 3'.

I am excited to see how this time travel plot in this new installment will work in the Men In Black universe and Josh Brolin, judging from previews, looks to be a great addition to the cast as a young Agent K and it's nice that most of the cast and crew from the previous two worked on this film as well.

Will 'Men In Black 3' be a box office hit?  We will see when it hits theatres on May 25th.

Lionsgate Is Remaking 'Leprechaun' For The Big Screen

A remake of the 1993 horror film Leprechaun is on the way.  Lionsgate struck a 2 picture deal with WWE Studios, and the first on the slate is this remake.  The film is set for a 2013 release.

The original Mark Jones movie told the story of a Leprechaun who travels from Ireland to a farm in North Dakota to reclaim his pot of gold which was stolen by Old Man O'Grady.  O'Grady puts the Leprechaun in a wooden crate sealed by a four-leaf clover (which is their weakness) in his basement.  Ten years later, new residents mistakenly let the little guy out, and his hunt for his gold continues.  The film was also Jennifer Aniston's (TV's Friends) first starring role.

I, for one, am actually looking forward to this remake.  The series definitely went stale after 3.  Once you go into space once, and the 'hood twice, your franchise needs a reboot.  I still feel that the original story is a disturbing, and unsettling idea.  Let's go Leprechaun 2013!
Lionsgate is pacting wit…

The 23rd James Bond Film, 'Skyfall' Currently In Production

I really like Daniel Craig's portrayal of James Bond so I am really excited for this new film.  For a couple years, there was speculation that a new Bond film seemed unlikely due to MGM's financial troubles but thankfully all was settled.

The cast is definitely a solid one with Academy Award winner Javier Bardem to play the main villain, Ralph Fiennes to play a government agent and Judi Dench returning as M.  Q will also be back after not appearing in the other two Craig led films, being played by Ben Whishaw.  The film will be directed by American Beauty and Jarhead director Sam Mendes.

The film will be released on October 26th, 2012 in London.

'The Green Hornet' NOT Getting A Sequel As Of Yet

The Green Hornet movie which starred Seth Rogen in the title role will not be getting a sequel. Though the film performed pretty well in the box office, Columbia Pictures, who was the company to distribute the film, felt it was too expensive quoting producer Neal H. Moritz, " If I had done it in a tax-rebate state and not done 3D, it would have been considered a huge financial success for the studio... So we're not making a sequel right now."

I personally liked The Green Hornet film but I'm not too sad about the news.  I'm sure eventually they will make a sequel but not in the near future.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Gets A Release Date

The “new reimagining” of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a release date.  December 25, 2013.  Judging from the release date, they are definitely trying to cash in on the relatively small competition during the Winter season.  Let's see if that release date gets set in stone or gets delayed.

Bret Easton Ellis Is Planning 'American Psycho' Sequel

Author Bret Easton Ellis took to Twitter to announce that he is in the early stages of mapping out a sequel to American Psycho.   Ellis continued to drop idea after idea on the subject, and even hinted at a possible sequel to The Rules of Attraction, which focuses on Sean Bateman, the brother of Patrick Bateman.
Technically speaking, there is a sequel to the 2000 thriller American Psycho, but it had nothing to do with Wall Street anti-hero and serial killer Patrick Bateman as personified by Christian Bale. American Psycho II: All American Girl was a cheap direct-to-DVD knock off starring Mila Kunis that only had a minor connection to Bret Easton Ellis' original creation. The novel was published in 1991, and the film adaptation quickly became a cult hit upon its release on April 14th of 2000. Due to both the film and novel's popularity, Patrick Bateman is considered an icon of sorts, and for years, fans have asked for a sequel. Bret Easton Ellis has never obliged, but that may…

Chase And D'Angelo Wanted For 'Vacation' Reboot

Writer-turned-director John Francis Daley wants Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo back to reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold for New Line's Vacation reboot/sequel.
"It is something that we've been warned not to screw up," Daley told THR at the PaleyFest event for his Fox series, Bones. "We have confidence that there's still a lot to tell in the story of the Griswolds. And we've been involved with it for so long, it felt like the natural next step to direct." "There'll be no recasting, except for the fact that Rusty will now be grown up," said Daley. "We don't know who will be playing him, but we intend to have a part for Clark Griswold. Chevy, we're hoping he'll be down to come back -- and Beverly D'Angelo as well."  Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Review: 'My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 3'

" helluva fun ride..."
The film opens with a flashy title card and a semi-homage to the opening credits of Showtime's Dexter.  From there it kind of takes on the cliche mystery who-dun-it made famous by so many teen slashers.  But then the film sort of flips your expectations on its side by revealing an antagonist midway through.

The filmmakers actually do quite a decent job of creating an atmosphere that is both real, and to an extent, relative to the story.  The third entry in the franchise does a nice job of giving a full backstory of the previous two, so one could go into this one without having seen the first two.  But where's the fun in that?

To say this film is just an average direct-to-video slasher would be a massive understatement.  In fact, I'd go as far as to say the film is above average in its genre.  And considering that it's an MTV production based on one of their more popular shows, I'd go even further and say it excels at what it&…
