New 'Scream 4' Poster Is FAKE!

How do I know the new poster is fake? Well, let's see -- I made that '4' almost ten years ago for an old fansite I used to run! WTF Dimension?! My original image... This is another design I did that is STRIKINGLY similar...

The Future Of Freddy Krueger And Jason Voorhees

The future of Freddy and Jason seemed a little murky there for awhile. But today, a light has been shed on the subject thanks to producer Brad Fuller, who oversaw the production of both remakes: Friday the 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street . He tweeted the following... Brad Fuller via Twitter First, let's talk Jason. Lots of rumors out there. I want to set the record straight on freddy and Jason Shannon and swift wrote a great script. We are ready to go, when new line is ready. But as of yet, they are not ready. As for Freddy, as far as I know, there isnt even talk of writing another script. Thanks to Brad's Twitter .

'Valentine's Day' Spinoff Kicks Into Gear

The spinoff to 2010's sleeper hit Valentine's Day is underway. The film, titled New Year's Eve is already attracting big names... The trio will join Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger, Hilary Swank and Sofia Vergara in the production, which goes before cameras in February. The movie tells intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year's Eve. Duhamel, one of the leads, plays a hopeless romantic who spends the day trying to get to New York in the hope of getting to a party in order to re-meet a mystery girl from the previous year. Cube would play a NYPD cop who is working with the director of the Times Square festivities (Swank). In his cameo, Seacrest would play himself. Duhamel, who last starred in Life As We Know It, is

Yet Another 'Beethoven' Sequel

So there is yet another Beethoven movie on the horizon: Beethoven Saves Christmas . Honestly, I already hate the title. Ernest is the only one to Save Christmas ! Ugh... Hearing today that American Pie : Book of Love director John Putch will reunite with Universal on Beethoven Saves Christmas, the latest in a long line of sequels to the ’90s hit starring Charles Grodin. In this one, Beethoven, now a star - because, you see, he starred in his own movie (Beethoven) - is shipped off to participate in a Christmas parade. A youngster named Mason is assigned the responsibility of keeping an eye on “the drool machine”. Together, they get up to all sorts of doggone mischief. Thanks to Whats Playing .

'TRON 3' May End With Just A Teaser

This is pretty interesting. According to several sources, the supposed teaser trailer for TRON 3 was actually shot just as TRON: Legacy was hitting theaters, with high hopes of success. That turned out not to be the case. Now it is rumored that the studio is pushing for the teaser to be removed from the Legacy blu-ray... A few days back word hit the web that a teaser for a possible ‘’Tron 3’’ had been filmed – with actors such as Cillian Murphy and Bruce Boxleitner reprising their roles – with plans to attach the sneak peek on the upcoming “Tron Legacy” Blu-ray. Most would assume a “Tron 3” is a sure thing. Not so. An interesting report at Jim Hill Media suggests that the teaser was shot way back “Tron Legacy” hit theaters, at which time Disney had very high expectations for the film. As it turned out, the Jeff Bridges starrer underperformed and so, not surprisingly, a few have been trying to quickly hide the teaser; it goes without saying they don’t want it on the Blu-ray

Rare Retro 'Child's Play' Trailer

Many of you have seen this before, as have I, but I stumbled across it again today and just had to post it. It's the very retro trailer for Child's Play that doesn't nearly get the credit it deserves. Best. Theme. Song. Ever...

'Scream 4' Reshoots

After a slew of test screenings on the East Coast, it looks like Wes Craven may be going back behind cameras to shoot additional film for Scream 4 . On Location Vacations pointed out that one of their readers received a filming notice in Northville, MI (on Clement St. between 7 mile and Frederick) for Jan. 31 & Feb. 2 that simply listed a motion picture entitled “Z”. Anyone who was following the Scream 4 shoot last summer will remember much of the film was shot in Northville under the production name Z. Additional photography does not mean there are problems, sometime when the film is assembled they learn of soft spots that could be strengthened. Maybe they want more gore? Maybe they want a new ending? Who knows. Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting and Scream-Trilogy

'Con-Air 2' Is Closer Than You Think

It appears that Con-Air 2 may be one piece away from becoming a reality: Nicolas Cage. In an interview with Coming Soon, director Simon West says he’s hoping to convince Nicolas Cage to board the Prisoner Plane one more time. West is working with Cage on his next film “Medallion” and says he’ll make sure to speak to the actor about it, then. Though West admits it’s going to be real hard getting the cast of the 1997 actioner back together – such names as Ving Rhames, John Cusack, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovich and Dave Chappelle featured in the first film – he believes if he can convince Cage, the rest will follow. Thing is, West doesn’t need many of the cast members back… over half of them, um, died at the end of the original. Thanks to Moviehole.

Amazing 'TMNT' Fanfilm: 'Fight The Foot'

This amazing little fanfilm teaser has been making its rounds. If this doesn't get you excited for a live-action reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , then I don't know what will...

Ugh! 'The Matrix 4 & 5' Not Happening

Contrary to the exciting news yesterday, it seems that there are no plans for a fourth and fifth Matrix movie. The rumors were debunked. Damn, and I was all excited. So I guess this means no Bill & Ted 3 either...

Keanu Reeves Talks 'Matrix 4 & 5', 'Bill & Ted 3'

Keanu Reeves talks a little Matrix 4 & 5 ...and mentions the possibility of a Bill & Ted 3 ... Hi guys, Hope you're feeling better Harry, get well soon! Long time reader, occasional news feeder. Writing from rainy old London, England. Surprised that no one has commented on this, lucky me I guess. Was lucky enough to attend a key note speech at the London school of performing Arts university and was honoured to be in the same room as Keanu Reeves who was the guest of honour. Keanu was here promoting his new movie Henry's Crime which is opening shortly. keanu as always was his kind gentle self and spoke to the class for a good 45 mins about his big break in acting and his love for Shakespeare. the floor was then opened for Q&A and the following was note worthy; - Says he's prepping a action movie around the world of the samurai and that it will be a hard "R" rated 3D action feast that will deliver some great martial art set piece

'TRON 3' Teaser Debuts On 'TRON Legacy' Blu-ray

So it appears that the teaser trailer for TRON 3 will be on the Blu-ray release for TRON Legacy . This actually isn't the first time has happened. I remember back in 1997, when Scream was released on VHS, it had the trailer for Scream 2 on it. Talk about being spoiled. I guess on DVD and Blu-ray, however, you have the option not to watch it...

First Look: New 'Spider-Man' Mask

Now we've seen the new costume, which looks spectacular. Now, we're treated to a blurred look at the new mask -- which doesn't look too much different, in my opinion. However, you can notice that Spidey now has mechanical web-shooters. Perhaps this movie is a little more grounded in reality... Thanks to Perez Hilton for this pic!

New 'Scream 4' Trailer In HD

Just thought I'd post the new trailer in high-definition. Looks GREAT.

Kiefer Sutherland Talks '24' Movie

Finally, there may be some light at the end of the tunnel for TV's 24 to become a movie... Rumours of the “24″ movie’s demise have been greatly exaggerated – at least according to star Kiefer Sutherland. Speaking to Extra about the proposed feature film version of the hit FOX series, Sutherland sounds convinced that we will see quick-quipping Jack Bauer and sour-faced savior Chloe O’Brien again. Soon though? Nah, “we won’t start shooting for about eight months”, the actor said. Asked about the recent script changes (Billy Ray’s draft was rejected hence the postponement of the film), Sutherland said : “And I think it will up until the day we start shooting, and probably from that point forward, too. It’s a very difficult thing to take something that you’ve done for eight years, almost 200 episodes, and try and find a story that’s going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well. That is to be expected. So we start shooting hopefully by next December or Januar

Will Smith Explores 'Annie' Remake

Can lightning strike twice? Will Smith caught a break with his latest remake of The Karate Kid , which was actually a good movie. Now, can he do it again with his daughter in a remake of Annie ? Remember, Annie was remade what's the big deal? In his latest keep-it-in-the-family move, Will Smith is exploring with Sony the potential for a remake of the musical "Annie," with daughter Willow as the star, sources say. Smith, who developed "The Karate Kid" starring his son Jaden, would produce through his Overbrook shingle. While details about the "Annie" retooling are still in development stages, rapper Jay-Z, who worked with Willow on her pop hit "Whip My Hair," is in talks to collaborate on the music. Project reps were tight-lipped about whether the pic would be a contemporary version and whether it will include any original songs. Sony's summer hit "Karate Kid" made more than $350 million worldwide and like

Robert Downey Jr. Exits 'Oz' Prequel, Depp Enters?

Robert Downey Jr. has been attached the Wizard of Oz prequel Oz: The Great and Powerful for awhile now...until now. And could Johnny Depp be filling his shoes? Robert Downey Jr. has fallen out of Oz, the Great and Powerful, Disney’s prequel-ish take on The Wizard of Oz tale, and the studio is in discussions with Johnny Depp to step into the great wizard’s robe. Sam Raimi is due to direct the tale of Oz as a young illusionist with a grandiose attitude who is forced to flee a traveling circus. His hot air balloon is swept up by a tornado to the land of Oz, which is run by two magical wicked witches. While it doesn’t have a start or release date, the Joe Roth production is a high priority for the studio, which hopes to start production in the second half of the year. Disney is hoping not to miss a beat with Oz. It has hired a unit production manager and begun the task of creating the world of Oz. The question with Depp, who has a close relationship with the studio after star

Me-ow! Anne Hathaway Is Catwoman!

The purrrrrrfect Anne Hathaway has officially joined the cast of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises . It was announced by Christopher Nolan today. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story," he said. Excellent casting choice, I must say. Should be very interesting to see this play out. *UPDATE* It appears that along with Catwoman we'll also be seeing Bane, played by Tom Hardy. Hubba hubba!

The much anticipated (it's either going to be awesome, or a total disaster) film X-Men First Class has just released it's first promo picture, a group shot of the young mutants! It's...interesting. Odd choice of 1990s bad photoshop work, there. Oh well, that's neither here nor there! From left to right, we've got... Michael Fassbender as Magneto Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTaggart January Jones as Emma Frost Jason Flemyng as Azazel Nicholas Hoult as Beast Lucas Till as Havok Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and James McAvoy as Professor X X-Men First Class opens on June 3rd, 2011.

'Spawn' Reboot Could Be Epic

Say what you will, but I've always been a fan of Spawn . Let's hope this remake/reboot/sequel gets off the ground soon! Todd McFarlane, one of the superstar names in comics, will be at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a celebration of the 200th issue of Spawn, his comics series about a supernatural force that punishes the wicked. The event at the Melrose Avenue landmark is a special one for McFarlane, as Golden Apple hosted the signing party for the first issue — in June 1992. We caught up with the artist and entrepreneur to talk about anniversary of a standout moment in comics publishing history and his aspiration to bring “Spawn” back to the silver screen. GB: It must be nice for you to be going back to Golden Apple for this event. TM: I remember the first time — for the release of Spawn No. 1 — my wife was out of town so I had my little daughter who was about 5 or 6 months old. So I packed her up, “”OK, I’m going to do this signing with my dau

Better Look At New 'Breaking Dawn Part 1' Image

Here's a better look at the new image from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 that was released a few days ago via YouTube. And for the Twihards, here you go...

'Rise Of The Apes' Is...Good?

Well here's something to go Ape over...the new prequel Rise of the Apes is actually...good. Tyler Labine plays a character named Franklin in Rise of the Apes, the prequel to both the five part classic Planet of the Apes series and the memorably confusing 2001 reboot. Labine was at the Television Critics Association press tour to promote his new sitcom, “Mad Love,” so I went up to him after for some Apes scoop. He had a surprising perspective on the movie. “It’s touching,” Labine said. “We have Andy Serkis at the helm. Basically the leading character is Cesar the Ape and he’s such a pioneer of motion capture craft and had people crying behind the monitors without saying a word, he’s so great. John Lithgow plays a very touching character in there and there’s a lot of humanity to juxtapose what’s about to happen. I think we need to see how humane we are in the beginning, in the prequel, so that there’s a bit of a rivalry between the humans and the apes by the time we get to Plane

New 'Scream 4' Theatrical Trailer

On April 15, get ready to Scream again! New trailer added, old one was removed by TWC.

The 'Alien' Prequel Is Dead -- Sort Of

This really doesn't surprise me. With the failures of the Versus movies and Predator , it's no wonder why this is getting the axe too...well, sort of... The “Alien” prequel is off. For good. As dead as Hicks and Newt at the start of “Alien 3″. But the movie will be made. Let me explain, Fox and Ridley Scott have decided to rewrite the script for the long-proposed prequel to the 1979 hit to be a stand-alone film – titled “Prometheus”. No Space Jockey’s. No Bishop’s. Sort of like what happened with the “Commando” sequel, which ended up being retooled as “Die Hard”, and later, the “Total Recall” sequel – yeah, so basically any Arnold Schwarzenegger sequel – which would ultimately get up under the guise of “Minority Report”. Audacious move, hey? Fox and Ridley Scott have been working on an “Alien” prequel for two years. It had been delayed a couple of times, has gone through numerous rewrites, and struggled to nail down a lead, but for better or worse it seemed as much a sur

'Mortal Kombat' Going Online

GET OVER HERE! The classic fighting game series that spawned two feature films, an animated series, comic books, action figures, and so on is going back to it's darker roots. Today, broke the news that there will be a 10 episode web series for Mortal Kombat , directed by Kevin Tancharoen. You may remember his short from last year, which touted itself as a promo for a new Mortal Kombat "reboot" movie. The movie wasn't real - it was just an attempt to get Warner Bros to buy his idea - but the critical and fan reactions were overwelmingly positive! Afterwards, Tancharoen was overloaded with pleas from fans to make this short become a reality. The owners of the Mortal Kombat game series were also pleased by what he came up with, which was a much more realistic and gritty story. It featured fan favorites such as Scorpion, Sonya Blade, and Jax. As for the new web series, it will be penned by Tancharoen, Todd Helbing, and Aaron Helbing. Michael Jai W

Shannen Doherty Glad 'Heathers 2' Won't Happen

Even though it is widely known, and accepted, that a sequel to the 1989 movie Heathers is not going to happen, Shannen Doherty is still keen on voicing her opinion on the on-again/off-again idea... Fans of the '80s movie "Heathers" were ecstatic over the 2009 announcement that a sequel to the movie about the original high school mean girls was in the works. But the flick's follow-up may have been killed, and star Shannen Doherty couldn't be happier. "I'm weird about sequels to movies like 'Heathers,'" 39-year-old Doherty — who appeared alongside Winona Ryder and Christian Slater in the dark comedy — told CNN. "'Heathers' was a cult classic, and I think it should stay that and not be revamped or redone another way. It was amazing and amazing for that time period, and it can stay there. I'm very proud of that movie. It makes me nervous to see it messed with again.” Ryder, however, is disappointed that the sequel talks hav

Wes Craven Reveals 'Scream' Death

Don't go into Scream 4 hoping to see Sidney's oblivious, always absent father. Wes Craven said in a new interview with EW Magazine that Neil Prescott has passed away, and - in fact - Sidney's already been to his funeral prior to Scream 4 . Little orphan Sidney will truly be on her own and most vulnerable in Scream 4 ! Wes also promises that there is a very twisty plot that he vows is a "doozy". Can't wait to see how this all plays out! April can't come soon enough. R.I.P. Neil. Glad you didn't end up being a lame last reel killer twist.

First Look: Andrew Garfield As 'Spider-Man'!

Here it is! The brand new SPIDER-MAN ! I got to admit, I'm really digging this new let's see the mask! Thanks to Deadline for pic!

Another 'Breaking Dawn Part 1' Image Via Video

Another image from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 has surfaced via YoutTube...

'X-Files 3' - Bigger And Better?

They're baaaaaaaaack. Well, almost. Well, MAYBE...some day... Say X-Files 3 and fans squeal. David Duchovny has brought foam to the mouths of those ravenous X-Files fanatics once again by bringing up the rumored 3rd part in the movie series. This time he's added that he'd prefer the next X-Files film to be a big blockbuster, so they can battle with their summer rivals. Should be interesting, if it ever gets off the ground! “I’m always game. It always rides on Fox. [Chris Carter] is game. I know [Gillian Anderson] is game. We all, at this point, love the show. We all, at this point, would love to work with one another again. We’re all good friends and miss one another, and miss working together. “We worked together so hard for so long, so closely. We had some ups and downs personally, sure. But in the end, they are really like family to me. We’re all like this little X-Files family and I, for one, would love to continue. And I think there’s a lot left in the show. You

Lena Heady Signs On To 'Dredd'

Lena Heady, who played Sarah Connor in TV's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles , has signed on to the Judge Dredd reboot Dredd ... And the Newspaper headline reads : Mother of future resistance leader John Connor wins the tender to assassinate Judge Dredd. Lena Headey, who for the last couple of years played Sarah Connor over on the short-lived “Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles” but before that played the Queen in “300″, will play a villain in director Pete Travis’ comic book movie reboot “Dredd”, says Judge Dredd Movie News. The film stars Karl Urban in the title role. In this particular yarn, Dredd and his rookie sidekick (Olivia Thirlby) find themselves trapped in a high-reside apartment block, surrounded by criminals. Hathaway, Biel Audition For 'Dark Knight Rises'

There are two names on the short-list of actresses auditioning for undisclosed roles in the upcoming Batman flick The Dark Knight Rises , they are Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel. LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Christopher Nolan is looking at some of Hollywood's leading actresses -- as well as a few emerging talents -- for major female roles in "The Dark Knight Rises," his next Batman film. Sources tell THR's "Heat Vision" that Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel are due to test for roles in the Warner Bros. superhero tentpole in the next two weeks. Also testing are relative newcomers Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley. Hot British actress Gemma Arterton was also scheduled to test but, as Heat Vision first reported last week, Arterton just landed the female lead in Paramount's "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" and might now have scheduling issues. "Dark Knight Rises" needs to fill two big female roles, a villain and

Is Lucy Hale Drew 2.0 In 'Scream 4'?

Ask and you shall receive. I was beginning to complain about how Lucy Hale, every time she is interviewed in regards to Scream 4 , she has very little to say or just rehashes something she's said in a previous interview. Well, it looks like I got my wish. Miss Hale has opened up for the Scream fans...and perhaps she has spilled some beans? Lucy Hale couldn’t say who she plays in Scream 4, but if you’ve seen any Scream movie, you can figure it out. They each open with a prologue featuring a major star getting a scary phone call (or going to the movies in Scream 2). “It’s a small role, which I was very happy to play,” Hale said. “I’m at the beginning of the movie. They literally made me sign stuff that I couldn’t say much about it but it’s very exciting. It was very exciting for me to be a part of it and meet Wes Craven who’s an absolute sweetheart. I didn’t know what to expect but it was fun.” Hale knows the importance of that opening scene though. The very first one was D

'The Dark Knight Rises' Filming Locations

Unlike the 2007 blockbuster sequel The Dark Knight , the second sequel to Begins , Rises will not be filmed in Chicago... Rumour has it that Detroit will fill in for Chicago on Warner’s “Dark Knight Rises”. Filming is also said to be taking place in Los Angeles and the UK. There was a rumour floating around for a while that the movie would be shooting in New Orleans – not so. (Source : Reel Chicago) Thanks to Moviehole for the excerpt.

Evan Goldberg Talks 'Pineapple Express 2'

Screenwriter Evan Goldberg has been doing a lot of thinking lately on a possible Pineapple Express 2 ... “Pineapple Express” scribe Evan Goldberg says he’s warming up to the idea of doing a sequel to his 2008 stoner comedy. “I’m even hesitant to make Pineapple 2, but I’m loosening up to it as of like the last few weeks. Recently we were at Danny Mcbride’s wedding, and we were all there, well David couldn’t make it (David Gordon Green, the director of Pineapple Express); but me, (James) Franco, Seth and Danny were all there and I thought; ‘this is fun, I have fun with these guys.’ … Everyone has always wanted to do it, me and Seth were very hesitant, but frankly I was the driving force behind that hesitancy. I just kept thinking, you know not to say we’re the Coen Brothers, because we’re super not – they’re my idols in a lot of ways – but those guys never make a sequel. Like, great, great films don’t have sequels. … hopefully, there will be a sequel.” (Source : Screen Rant) Thanks to M

When Good 'Resident Evil' Actors Go Bad...

Who doesn't love horrible Engrish translations in video games? Seriously. Some of them are real comedic gems! The Resident Evil game series has had some of the most notoriously absurd lines of dialogue to ever come out of a voice actor's mouth. Personally, I've always wondered what it would be like to actually SEE someone act out those "classic" lines. Well, if share this obsession of mine, you'll enjoy this. Stars of Resident Evil Afterlife playfully reading lines from the first Resident Evil video game. Oh Milla. You can do no wrong. *swoons* *"Jill Sandwich" not included. Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

Salma Hayek Producing 'Wicked' Miniseries

The Broadway musical Wicked is making its way to the small screen in an 8-part miniseries produced by ABC and Salma Hayek. The eight-part mini will be based on the best seller that spawned the Broadway musical but will not be a musical itself. Salma Hayek and ABC are developing an eight-hour miniseries adaptation of Wicked. Hayek and her partner Jose Tamez will produce via their Ventanarosa Prods. with ABC Studios. The project is in the early stages of development, so it's unclear whether Hayek will also appear in Wicked. The miniseries genre is all but dead on broadcast television. But ABC has kept that fire burning with periodic longform projects including the Craig Zadan and Neil Meron-produced A Raisin in the Sun with Sean Combs and Phylicia Rashad. Hayek's Wicked will be based on the Gregory Maguire best seller Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which spawned the Broadway musical. But the miniseries will not be a musical, sources said.

New French 'Scream 4' Trailer

Wow, it seems like we've been posting a lot of Scream 4 news lately. That might be partially because I'm a little biased, they are, however, my favorite horror franchise. Anyway, for all you French Scream fans out there, enjoy...
