'Monsters Inc.' Prequel In The Works

It appears that a prequel to Monsters Inc. is in the works. The new film will be called Monsters University and is slated for a November 2012 release. The follow-up to the brilliant “Monsters Inc.” has been given an official title: “Monsters University”, and it will be a prequel.

Disney/Pixar confirmed the rumours at CinemaCon today, and the new flick will follow Mike and Sully through university when they apparently hated each other, showing how they eventually end up as friends.

The original gang will reprise their roles in the film, with Billy Crystal and John Goodman heading up the project, slated for a November 2012 release.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years since the first film came out, but ”Monsters Inc.” is still going strong as my Number 1 Pixar movie. I like the idea of going for a prequel, it’s a fresh approach that I’m sure will be a massive hit.

What’s your favourite Disney/Pixar film? Is a prequel a good idea for “Monsters Inc?”Thanks to Moviehole for the scoo…

The new one sheet for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has been released. It's definitely the most gritty and real Potter poster thus far.

Amy Adams To Play Lois Lane In 'Superman'

Movie over Kate Bosworth, Amy Adams is the new Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman...or is still called Man of Steel? Eh, whatever. With either title, Amy Adams is our new Lois Lane...Amy Adams has landed the coveted role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman. The director told the actress earlier this morning she had landed the role. Here's what Zack Snyder had to say about the actress.

"There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."

It wasn't said how large the Lois Lane role, although there will be a contemporary take on the character. Here's what Zack Snyder had to say about this modern-day take on Lois Lane.

"It goes back to what I've said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What's important to us is making him relevant and real and ma…

Review: 'Restrepo'

This movie is the REAL thing.  A documentary that will test your emotions and your strength.

Restrepo is about a group of soldiers out in the Korengal Valley in Afghanistan for their 15 month deployment, which was considered to be one of the most dangerous posts in the military.  These men are shot at AT LEAST 4-5 times a day.  Could you imagine??

The outpost these men created at Korengal Valley IN ONE NIGHT was named after PFC Restrepo, who was killed early in the campaign.

Interviews with the soldiers who were there plus the footage there at the valley by Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger are included in the movie and interwoven very well.

This documentary was nominated at the 83rd Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and definitely deserved it.

I don't have to stress just how good this movie was.  It's REALLY good!  If you are in the military, watch this film! If you know anyone in the military, watch this film! If you have nothing to do with the military, WAT…

Review: 'AAAH! ZOMBIES!!'

Awww... look at the happy couple!!!

Now, I bet you can't guess what this movie is about... If you think this is about flying pigs and fast cars (aka another Fast and the Furious clone) then you'd be wrong my friend!  Actually, this is another zombie movie but it has a unique spin on the whole zombie genre: It tells the story in the zombie's point of view!

Four friends eat some ice cream they mixed with beer and a "green" substance and they die.  Then, they turn into flesh eating zombies! This movie could've turned into a really stupid and boring movie but instead it turned into a really stupid and exciting movie!

It was pretty hilarious and definitely reminded me of Shaun of the Dead.  This movie didn't take itself as serious though and the movie even jokes about itself which was funny.

The best part about the movie is the two different viewpoints.  When the screen is in black and white, it's in the normal perspective and everyone sees them as the…

Third Writer On 'Scream 4' Revealed

Just a little insight on Scream 4's third writer...After all the Scream 4 rewrite hysteria last year, something in the timeline just wasn’t adding up for us. Kevin Williamson was out the door before shooting even began, and once it did, his replacement, executive producer Ehren Kruger was firmly embedded. Towards the tail-end of the shoot, revisions were still being written with the pagecount blowing out to 140 pages, requiring an extension of the schedule and the addition of six actresses to film the latest material. However Kruger had already been long gone for Transformers 3, also shooting in Michigan. Double duty might have been possible, but highly unlikely in our opinion. His sole writer status on the robo threequel meant extensive work for him during that movie’s shooting over several months.

Then there is also the weekend of additional photography earlier this year, never attributed to any hired gun. Those extended scare scenes certainly weren’t improvised, so there had t…

'Rise Of The Apes' Gets New Release Date

The release date for Rise of the Apes has been moved from November to August. So it looks like we'll be monkeying around sooner rather than later. On a side note, I originally thought this film was a prequel to Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes (2001), but it appears, according to IMDb, that the film is a remake of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972). Hmm, I may have to do a little investigating -- or not.Twentieth Century Fox has booted R-rated comedy "The Sitter" from Aug. 5 to a Dec. 9 release date to make room for "Rise of the Apes," which moves into the summer slot after having been shuffled twice before.

"Rise of the Apes," toplining James Franco and Freida Pinto, originally was dated on June 24, then moved to Thanksgiving weekend.

The film's new date isn't necessarily troubling news for the reboot, since August has become more fertile B.O. ground than in year's past. Still, pic's new summer slot traditionally has been …

The '24' Movie Will Be Here In 2012

According to star Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer), the much-anticipated 24: The Movie will be lighting up movie theaters in 2012.We’re holding our breath, Jack Bauer: Kiefer Sutherland told the women of The View this morning that the much-anticipated release of the 24 movie will be in (drumroll please) … 2012.

Hey, there’s no reason NOT to believe Sutherland (who was on the show to promote his Broadway play That Championship Season). Still, EW hears that the movie has yet to find a director and has no start date. I guess we should stay tuned.

Sutherland told EW earlier this year that he remains committed to a big-screen version of the Fox drama and, in fact, hopes to begin production within a year. Though Fox ultimately nixed a script by Billy Ray (State of Play), the movie remains “the little engine that could.” He acknowledged that 20th Century Fox has been working with director/producer Tony Scott (Man on Fire, The Good Wife) on the project. “Billy did a fantastic job and there ar…

Review: Entire 'Saw' Series

Hello Zep!  What you are about to read is something that I think you may find a little interesting.  You think you are going to read a review of "Comics Anonymous" but instead... you are going to read a review on the entire Saw film series.  If you do not finish reading the review in 60 seconds, someone will come up from behind you in a pig mask and knock you out.  After that, you are under their total control. You will have no way of knowing what's going to happen to you. Until you wake up... then you will see...

The original Saw was written by Leigh Whannell who also plays Adam and was directed by James Wan.  I'm just going to say this right off the bat but the first one was, by far, my favorite one.  I think because it was just the most polished one and the ending was a definite shocker that the filmmakers kept trying to add to the "big twist ending" on each proceeding sequel.

II and III were the next ones in the "John Kramer is actually alive"…

Update: Joseph Gordon-Levitt's 'Dark Knight Rises' Role Still Unknown

Despite the report a few days back, it appears that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's role in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises is still unknown. If you recall, the actor was said to be playing Alberto Falcone, or otherwise knows as The Holiday Killer. But thanks to EW, those reports seem to be false. Let the speculation reboot...Joseph Gordon-Levitt, long-rumored to be joining his Inception brethren in The Dark Knight Rises, will appear in director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film. But a source close to the situation says that recent reports that Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone (a.k.a. the Holiday Killer) — the son of former mob kingpin, Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson) — are incorrect. So, Batman fans: Begin the re-speculation now! Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the follow-up.

Review: 'Interplanetary'

Remember in my previous review of Exam how I discovered a gem of a movie I hadn't heard of before? Well, I discovered this one in the same video store.  Remember in my previous review of I Spit On Your Grave how I thought it was trash and you shouldn't even attempt to think about renting it?  Well, guess what?  DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO ATTEMPT TO THINK ABOUT THINK ABOUT RENTING THIS!!! (That was not a typo!!!)

You see the DVD cover?  What do you think?  What do you believe the film is about?  Well, WHATEVER you think it's about is WAY WRONG!  You see the reviews on the cover?  "Entirely too good to miss!"  LIE! "...intelligent and start-to-finish entertaining!"  AN EVEN BIGGER LIE!

I didn't even finish 20 minutes of this film without wishing I was eating rat poison!  I wish I was using a frying pan to bash my face in!  I wish I had someone tell me just how awesome this movie was! (that last one would be HELL!!!!)  Literally... this film looks chea…

'Hatchet 3' Has The Green Light

So it seems that Hatchet 3 has been given the green light from Dark Sky Films. This is a little surprising because I thought Hatchet II was a little sub-par. Hmm...Dark Sky Films dropped a little late-day news on us with the announcement of Hatchet 3, based on the success of Hatchet 2's VOD and DVD release.

At this time, cast and crew details (including director) are being worked out.

Hatchet creator Adam Green, however, reiterates: "We already had a possible storyline for Hatchet 3 worked out before we began shooting Hatchet 2, so my cast, crew and I are beyond excited to see that the story and legacy of Victor Crowley will indeed continue. For a little indie movie that I dreamt up when I was just eight years old, it has been absolutely surreal to watch it turn into a modern-day slasher franchise."

Hatchet 3 will continue the saga of Crowley, the "Bayou Butcher," who first made his gruesome mark in 2007's Hatchet.

Hatchet 3 will continue where the story le…

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's 'Dark Knight Rises' Role Revealed

Who will it be? The Joker? The Riddler? Hugo Strange? Deadshot? Guess again...Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, or also known as The Holiday Killer in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. The character is the son of Carmine Falcone, one of the baddies from Batman Begins.EXCLUSIVE: Now that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to re-team with his "Inception" director Christopher Nolan on "The Dark Knight Rises," the question turns to what role the actor will play.

Speculation has run rampant regarding the role, with blogs pegging the part as The Riddler or Deadshot, but insiders tell Variety that Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, the son of Mafia chieftain Carmine Falcone, the character Tom Wilkinson played in "Batman Begins."

Alberto Falcone, who is also known as The Holiday Killer, would bring Nolan's superhero trilogy full-circle. The character fits with the helmer's stated intentions for continuity and p…

Review: 'I Spit On Your Grave'

This remake of the 1978 film of the same name is just the same old type of revenge horror flick we've seen countless times before.  Nothing new, nothing original and NOTHING entertaining.

Jennifer Hills (played by Sarah Butler) is a young novelist who is out in the country to go to a cabin she has rented a few months so she can write her latest book.  She gets the keys and then asks directions because she has no idea where it is.  (Convenient)  She stops at a gas station to fill up her car and  meets up with a few guys who work there.  Johnny, the head of the group, goes up to her and startles her, spilling fluid on him and when she hits the panic button on her car keys, Johnny spills gasoline over himself.  Of course, the other two guys looking on make fun of him and Johnny gets very upset.  Very upset indeed.

Jennifer locates the cabin and begins her writing.  Conveniently, she drops her cell phone into the toilet and calls someone to help with the pipes as the water is too dir…

Review: 'The Killing Jar'

For 90 minutes, we are teased with wondering exactly what the hell is going on.  Is Michael Madsen's character (credited as Doe) the one who just recently killed a family? Are any of the hostages the killer?  Do we even care?

The film begins in a diner where the entire film takes place.  A tired waitress (played by Amber Benson) just hates her job. Her boss (played by Danny Trejo) is a complete jackass.  A salesman (played by Harold Perrineau) is stuck in the middle of nowhere.  Another man named Hank (played by Kevin Gage) has a secret, (Again, with the secrets).  A teen boy and girl are there as well but they play the nobody cares about you, characters.

Michael Madsen walks in the diner and all hell breaks loose. (unless our minds explode, then hell would break even more!)  Why Doe decides to take these people hostage is anyone's guess. Maybe the cop (played by Lew Temple) just pushed his buttons a little too much. Maybe he is just a psychotic murderer. Maybe he is just wan…

Nolan Wants Juno Temple For 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Not too sure who she'll play, but apparently director Christopher Nolan wants Juno Temple (Year One) for The Dark Knight Rises, to play a "street-wise Gotham girl". Until she is officially cast, I'll keep the character speculation to a minimum. Although, I can see her as Barbara Gordon, Commissioner Gordon's daughter. How about you?

Review: "Blue Velvet"

Blue Velvet is, simply put, an amazing film!

Blue Velvet revolves around a young man named Jeffrey Beaumont (played by Kyle Maclachlan) who discovers a human ear in a field. He then investigates, with help from a high school girl named Sandy (played by Laura Dern) to find out who that ear was from. He probably should have just kept walking along because he gets in too deep with a lounge singer (played by Isabella Rosellini) and having to fight off a criminal, played brilliantly by the legendary Dennis Hopper.

The film could be a film that defines the neo-noir genre and is considered one of the greatest films of the 80's and of all time.  I don't disagree with that.  It can also be considered an erotic thriller since there are some scenes involving sex that can be uncomfortable to watch but overall, a great film.

Directed by the profound David Lynch, he combines the elegance with the crazy.  Isabella Rossellini does a decent job with her performance. She is a brave actress fo…

Review: 'Exam'

Exam is a British thriller released in the UK in early 2010 written, produced and directed by Stuart Hazeldine.  Oh the joys of discovering a new film that you have never heard of before.

The film revolves around the question, "What would you do to win the ultimate job?"  Hence the tagline.

8 people are placed into a room, 4 men and 4 women.  The 8 people sit in according desks and The Invigilator, as the man is called in the film, tells these 8 people they have 80 minutes (because the movie is just a bit longer than 90 minutes) to answer a simple question.  He also tells them 3 rules they MUST obey:  If you  try to communicate with him or the guard in the room with them, they will be disqualified, they spoil (or dirty) the piece of paper that's on their desk, disqualified and if they attempt to leave the room for ANY reason, again disqualified.  Each piece of paper has the word Candidate on it with a corresponding number next to it like Candidate 1, Candidate 2 and so o…

'True Lies 2' To Kick Off Schwarzenegger's Comeback

It seems that Arnold Schwatzenegger's first film post-office will be True Lies 2. Co-star Tom Arnold recently laid out all the facts...For a long time, True Lies co-star and good friend of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Arnold, has said that True Lies 2 is happening. Then, last year, we heard the movie was being turned into a weekly TV series that could possibly star wrestler/actor John Cena. Now, Tom Arnold is back on the True Lies 2 train saying, quite matter-of-factly, that True Lies 2 has a very high chance of being Arnold Schwarzenegger's first film since leaving office as governor of California.

There had been a number of sequel scripts written for True Lies 2 over the years, which James Cameron previously stated would not be used for the proposed TV series. Cameron has made it clear that he is not involved with the show based on the popular 1994 action film, but Tom Arnold now claims that the Avatar and Titanic director will be producing True Lies 2 . He claims that there…

C. Thomas Howell Confirms Lizard For 'Amazing Spider-Man'

Actor C. Thomas Howell (The Hitcher, TV's Criminal Minds) has spilled the beans on who the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man will be -- and, drum roll...The Lizard. Here's Howell's direct quote..."There is not a whole lot to talk about. Sony wants us to be hush-hush right now. I play a relatively small role. I play a construction worker who's son is caught in the middle of a battle between the Lizard and Spider-Man on the Manhattan bridge. Spider-Man helps me get my son back from this perilous situation. There is some payback there at the end of the movie. Spider-man is kind of hurting. I help him when all o the other people won't. Part of the story is, the nation thinks he might be a bad guy. They don't know what to think. Because of my experience on the bridge with my kid, I know he is a good guy. I pitch in and help out at the end. That is the best way."Thanks to Movieweb for the scoop.

OMG! Darren Aronofsky Out Of 'The Wolverine'

This just keeps getting better and better -- not really. Darren Aronofsky has bowed out of directing The Wolverine, a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This sucks. I thought Aronofsky would have brought the clawed mutant to the big screen the way he was meant to be. This doesn't necessarily mean another director can't, I was just looking forward to Darren's were a lot of other fans, too.Darren Aronofsky is bowing out of directing 20th Century Fox’s sequel The Wolverine, saying the project would keep him out of the country for too long.

Fox and Hugh Jackman - who is set to return in the title role - said they remain fully committed to making Wolverine and will move aggressively to find a new director.

Fox hadn’t yet greenlit the sequel. A significant portion of the movie will be shot overseas (there had been plans to shoot in Japan).

"As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, who have been totally supportive throughout my work on …

Zack Snyder's 'Superman' Is A Fresh Start

It's no surprise here that Zack Snyder is making it perfectly clear that his new Superman movie will not acknowledge the films of past, including 2006's Superman Returns, which pretty much ignored Superman III & IV, but was a sequel to part II. Snyder's film will be in the same vein as Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins (which, it should), and give the iconic hero a new origin, and thus, a new story. Sounds great, but again, it's nothing we didn't already expect to happen. When Bryan Singer took moviegoers to Metropolis in the 2006 film ”Superman Returns,” he paid careful homage to the hero’s cinematic past. Don’t expect that approach from Zack Snyder, who on Wednesday shared his guiding principle: ”Respect the canon but don’t be a slave to the movies.”

Snyder’s version of the Man of Steel is scheduled to reach theaters in December 2012 with Henry Cavill in the title role, and the director said that this will be the first modern Superman feature that will …

Albert Brooks Also On Board The 'Knocked Up' Spinoff

One more will likely be added to the growing cast of the untitled Knocked Up spinoff that will already star Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, and perhaps Megan Fox. The film should arrive sometime in June 2012, directed by Mann's husband, Judd Apatow.EXCLUSIVE: Albert Brooks is negotiating to join the untitled comedy that Judd Apatow wrote and will direct for Universal Pictures. The film will star Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, who are reprising the roles they played in Knocked Up. I'm told that Brooks is in talks to play Rudd's father in a film that will also feature Megan Fox. It's an interesting pairing, Brooks and Apatow, because they are both writer/directors whose comedies have a very auteurish voice. Brooks most recently played a mobster you don't want to cross in Drive, the Nicolas Winding Refn-directed adaptation of the James Sallis novel that stars Ryan Gosling.

Brooks also has a May publication date on 2030: The Real Story of What Happens to America, a novel that wi…

Megan Fox To Join 'Knocked Up' Spinoff

So it appears that Megan Fox may be joining Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in the currently untitled Knocked Up spinoff. This is from THR...Megan Fox is in negotiations to star alongside Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in Judd Apatow's latest directing vehicle for Universal.

Rudd and Mann are reprising their characters of husband and wife from Apatow's Knocked Up in a new story by the writer-director.

Fox's role is being kept under wraps.

Apatow is producing the movie with Barry Mendel and Clayton Townsend.

The Apatow picture marks a return to the studio world for Fox who recently wrapped Friends With Kids opposite Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Adam Scott for Jennifer Westfeldt, who wrote and directed. The actress was last seen in the indie fable Passion Play opposite Mickey Rourke.

Fox is repped by ICM and attorney Darren Trattner.

Universal’s vp of production Erik Baiers is overseeing the project for the studio.
Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the tip.

Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs Sign On To 'American Reunion'

Now only have Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott signed on for American Reunion, where they'll reprise their characters from the American Pie franchise, but so has Eugene Levy, who will play Jim's Dad for the umpteenth time. Now Universal just needs to get the rest of the cast back, which they're working on. I sure hope Eddie Kaye Thomas returns -- won't be the same without Paul Finch.Universal is helping itself to another serving of American Pie.

The studio has completed deals with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott (who entered treatment this week) and Eugene Levy to reunite for what is being called American Reunion.

The studio is currently working to bring in many of the other members of the original cast and is in negotiations with Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge to reprise their roles.

The first two films in the comedy franchise grossed a combined $523.2 million at the worldwide box office. American Wedding, the thi…

First 'Scream 4' TV Spot Has Arrived

The first TV spot for Scream 4 aired last night on Comedy Central. A good hi-def copy of the spot has yet to become available, so this not-so-good cam quality spot will have to do...for now.

Review: 'Cloverfield'

"If this is the last thing you see, then that means I died!"  Yeah, just like this movie!

Now, I was going into Cloverfield with low expectations. I didn't expect much and that's what I got. A mediocre thriller.  The first 10-15 minutes are some of the most boring stuff I've seen in film.
A surprise farewell party for a guy named Rob who got a job in Japan.  Flirting, romance and stupidity ensue.

Why, OH WHY, did the most annoying character have to be the camera operator? The guy asks the stupidest questions, can't shut up and (the only positive to him) foreshadowed his own death! Kudos on the last part, my man! He records over a video of a romantic day between Rob and Beth, Rob's "love". Again, Kudos!

Probably the only redeeming quality of this film is that the filmmakers don't give any explanation as to why the monster attacks. It's just a random event. If they did, I can only imagine as to how dumb of an explanation they would have …

Sequel To 'The Fighter' In Early Talks

A sequel to the 2010 Mark Wahlberg boxing movie The Fighter is already being discussed in the offices at Closest to the Hole Productions. Wahlberg has been quoted saying that he feels the film really deserves a sequel, but in the vein of Rocky, but a continuation of "Irish" Mickey Ward's real-life boxing career. The story is really just getting started. So I'd at least one sequel could work, but any What do you think? Is a sequel to The Fighter a good idea? A bad idea? And why?

David Slade Set To Direct 'Daredevil' Sequel/Reboot

Okay, so is the next Daredevil flick going to be a sequel to 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck, or is this going to be a straight-up reboot of the franchise? Though the first film spawned the Elektra spinoff, also starring Jennifer Garner from Daredevil, the film didn't necessarily warrant a sequel -- right away. Word on the street is that this film may try to be both: a continuation of the original film's story plus simultaneously rebooting the character. Um, okay. I'm a little confused, too. Oh well...David Slade has been tapped to put Daredevil back on the bigscreen for 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment.

Fox introduced the Marvel Comics superhero at megaplexes in 2003, in an actioner that starred Ben Affleck as the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante who wears a red suit and wields a billyclub. Reviews were mixed at best.

Though the film wound up spinning off "Elektra" with Jennifer Garner, studio had hoped "Daredevil" would earn more than its…

Hi-Def Look At The 'Quarantine 2: Terminal' Trailer

The trailer for Quarantine 2: Terminal has been released...officially. Though the first movie is basically a shot-for-shot remake of the Spanish film [REC], it is said that Quarantine 2 is not a direct remake of [REC] 2, but rather a sequel to the remake. Make sense? Ah, just watch the trailer...

Another Year Goes By, Still No 'Ghostbusters III'

Will Ghostbusters III ever see the light of day? I'm actually starting to think that it won't. At one time, it was probably my most anticipated movie -- but now, I could actually care less. More of the same old, same old...Ivan, what will you direct next?

Reitman: There’s a lot of talk about Ghostbusters III. And there’s a very good script that the other cast members have read and liked. We’re just waiting for Bill Murray to read it.Thanks to THR for the scoop.

Review: 'Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes'

"The shocking account of history's most infamous case of demonic possession, compiled from the actual videotape and film recordings from over 76 exorcisms."
Let me rewrite that plot synopsis. Based on....Yes, BASED on one of history's most infamous case of demonic possession.
The Exorcist Tapes is a attempt to create a found footage style film based on the famous Anneliese exorcisms. Right From the start, this film is obviously not actual footage. it's not real, who cares? Neither were Paranormal Activity, The Last Exorcism, or The Blair With Project. Well the difference between those films and this film is the complete lack of authenticity. The film never feels real, therefore your never scared nor drawn into it.
The movie is simple...Anneliese Michel, drinks her own urine, eats spiders, and speaks with demonic voices (all from the true story). She is possessed by a demon(s). So we have a battle between a group of people trying to help Anneliese with medi…

Review: 'Let the Right One In', 'Let Me In'

How does a book written by John Ajvide Lindqvist (who wrote the screenplay for the Swedish version) get two adaptations from two different countries and have BOTH adaptations be really good? Well, you hire Swedish director Tomas Alfredson and American director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, who wrote the screenplay for the American version) to direct them and you get two very well made films.

Now, are there any differences other than the obvious spoken language difference?  There are a few differences I noticed between the two.
I watched the American Let Me In first and compared to the Swedish Let the Right One In, it's atmosphere is creepier, given the lighting is darker and more mellow in the American version. The Swedish version is more bright in lighting tone.
In a scene when the two child leads first meet, Eli (Swedish version, played by Lina Leandersson) has shoes on when she sits around in the playground where as the American version, Abby (played by Chloe Grace-Moretz) does no…

Review: '127 Hours'

I just finished watching this movie and let me just say this.. THIS FILM IS AMAZING!

It's a simple story really.. you might've even heard of it already.

It's based on a book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" by Aron Ralston who is famous for cutting his own arm off to free himself from having his arm trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah.
