'Dark Knight Rises' Viral Campaign Shows New Trailer Screenshots

The Dark Knight had an amazing viral campaign and it went on to make more than a billion dollars worldwide in total box office.  Now, The Dark Knight Rises has followed up with its own amazing viral campaign.  Along with a new trailer being released during The Avenger's theatrical release, there are new screenshots of the film being released now and more all day.

At the official website,,  a manhunt is currently ongoing to the masked vigilante known as Batman as he is being blamed for the deaths of several police officers and District Attorney Harvey Dent. In the evidence file for the case, you'll find locations around the world that will help unlock something very special.

Also, check out the screenshots revealed below.

Eight years after The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to the limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent.

Sylvester Stallone Talks 'Rambo 5', Possible Plot

So it appears that Rambo 5 is a very real possibility nowadays.  While at CinemaCon, Sylvester Stallone spoke with MTV about the project, and elaborated just a little on a possible plot for the film.
"There's a volcanic eruption [brewing]. The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface," Stallone said when asked about his thoughts on bringing the character back to the big screen. So is there another story to tell? "I know there is," he said definitively. "It's one thing where you lay down the final culmination of your life where you can articulate it, but also act on it where he realizes what his destiny really is," Stallone said, speaking for the character and how he might take a moment to reflect on his life and realize his work isn't finished. "It's not to be a farmer, it's not to be obscure; it's to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion. But is he really doing it for himself or is he doing it because that's just…

Brand New International Trailer For Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'

I JUST FINISHED watching this trailer and again -- I got goosebumps and got that spine tingling sensation!  I simply CANNOT wait to see this!  To some, this trailer may reveal too much about the story but I think it still left a lot that can be revealed.  I already see this film being nominated for a Best Visual Effects Academy Award too.

Check out the awesome trailer below!

What did you think?  Does it make you want to watch the film even more?  I know it does for me!

'Carrie' Remake Could Also Go Found-Footage Route

Not only has Julianne Moore officially been offered the role as Carrie's mother, but it has been revealed that this new film will partially be a found-footage film as well.  And like I've stated in earlier stories, if this is following the original source material, much like the 2002 TV movie did, then this could totally work.

Remember, kids today have cell phones, social networks and all that jazz, so it wouldn't be a stretch for kids to filming the incidents at prom as they're happening.
Birnbaum has implied the new film will be, at least partially, a found-footage horror movie. Now, before you get out your anti-found footage pitch forks, this shouldn't be that surprising. King's original novel is interspersed with various "official" documents recounting what happened on Carrie's deadly prom night (a writing technique called epistolary, which is basically the literary equivalent of found footage), so if Aguirre-Sacasa's script is indeed goi…

TV Review: 'The Legend Of Korra' Episode 4

Welcome back my fellow Korra fans and thanks for reading this review.

After the beginning of the Equalist revolution, Tarrlok, a Councilman of Republic City, tries to get Korra to join his task force to fight Amon.  At first he fails so he tries to shower her with gifts like a vehicle but she still doesn't accept.  Korra is afraid of Amon after having a nightmare of him taking her powers at the beginning of the episode and that's the driving force behind her decision NOT to accept.  But after she accepts an invite to go to a party of his and gets hounded by reporters on WHY she won't accept his offer to join, she finally accepts.  All in Tarrlok's plan!  I'll bet anything that Tarrlok is working for Amon.  It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

The task force's first raid is at the Equalist's training facility and it succeeds.  Korra also challenges Amon to a fight on Aang Memorial Island.  Don't worry, Tarrlok has his people watching over her when it …

Trailer For 'Knocked Up' Spinoff 'This Is 40' Is Here

The official trailer for This is 40 is finally here.  For those of you who don't know, This is 40 is a spinoff of Knocked Up, following Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's characters.

The film is said to be: "A look at the lives of Pete and Debbie a few years after the events of Knocked Up." according to IMDb.

Steve Kloves To Write A New 'Jungle Book' Adaptation

There have been a few live-action adaptations of  Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book but the one probably most known is the one directed by Stephen Sommers of The Mummy.  It had Jason Scott Lee as Mowgli, Cary Elwes as Boone, the arrogant soldier villain type dude and Lena Headey as Katherine.

Yeah, I don't remember that film either but maybe with Steve Kloves writing a new live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book, you might want to refresh your memory on the story and read the stroy or just watch the classic 1967 animated film.  It's a bare neccessity.  Sorry, I couldn't help myself on that one.

Anyway, Steve Kloves won't only write the film, he'll also direct, which will mark the first time he's directed a film since 1993's Flesh and Bone.  That's a long gap between directing duties.  Warner Bros. is developing the series which bears (sorry again) no surprise since he has been long affiliated with Warner since he wrote 7 of the 8 films in the Ha…

Sam Raimi To Produce 'Poltergeist' Remake

MGM Studios is making a remake to Steven Spielberg's 80's horror classic, Poltergeist, and has Sam Raimi to produce, who knows a thing or two about horror, best known for The Evil Dead trilogy.
He will not be directing the remake, instead will be helping the studio find a director.

David Lindsay-Abaire is writing the script, which centered on a family who's daughter is haunted by an evil spirit... you know, the one that came from the TV.

Nathan Kahane is producing the remake alongside Roy Lee, who is best known for remaking Asian horror films like Ju-On (The Grudge), Ringu (The Ring), Dark Water and A Tale of Two Sisters (The Uninvited).

Do you think this is a good idea?

Fox's Rathman Talks About 'X-Men' Sequel, 'Chronicle' Sequel And 'Fantastic Four' Reboot

MTV talked to Twentieth Century Fox Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tom Rothman about both the X-Men: First Class sequel and the Fantastic Four reboot.

He confirms that Matthew Vaughn, the director of X-Men: First Class, will be back directing the sequel.  They are shooting for a Winter 2013 to Summer 2014 release.

He also mentioned that Chronicle director Josh Trank will be directing a Fantastic Four reboot.

'The Ring 3' Might Be A Found-Footage Adventure

Now this is actually interesting and totally makes sense.  If any franchise could go the "found footage" route then it's definitely The Ring series, which is actually in serious talks right now to do so.
The Ring is something that really lends itself to this format right now, so we're talking to [producer] Walter Parkes about doing something with that.  The above quote is from Paramount's Adam Goodman in  regards to having The Ring 3 be a found-footage adventure.  So what do you think about this revelation?

Shia LaBeouf WILL NOT Return For 'Transformers 4'

After 3 Transformers films being directed by Michael Bay (which means you will be tan no matter who you are!!!) and getting tired of saving the world 3 too many times, Shia LaBeouf will not be starring in Transformers 4

These Transformers movies have only one good thing going for it: the amazing special effects but I mean, come on, special effects only go so far.  Don't worry, you still have a lackluster storyline and dumb stupid antics to make you have a brain hemmorage.

Paramount film group president Adam Goodman recently said that Shia LaBeouf won't be returning to the franchise.

Also, he indicated the franchise will be moving in a different direction by stating that
Ehren Kruger [who wrote the past two Transformers movies] is writing it for us, and we’re starting to engage, but I can’t say anything more.”

It's all good, I'm sure Shia LaBeouf will move on to better things. Maybe his own Indiana Jones movie? Oh... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

So, who will be the ne…

'Top Gun 2' Will Fly Out Very Soon

One of the signature films of the 80's, Top Gun, is about to get a sequel.  Needed or not, it's happening anyway.  Tom Cruise is about to sign a deal to star in the sequel.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount president Adam Goodman said,

"We'll likely make a 'Top Gun' sequel with Tom Cruise [before the next "Mission: Impossible"]. Jerry Bruckheimer would produce, with Tony Scott returning to direct. All parties are moving ahead. We've hired Peter Craig to write the script."
Cruise himself said, during a press tour for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol with MTV news, said:
"We're working on it."

"I said to Tony I want to make another movie with him. He and I haven't made a film since 'Days of Thunder,' " Cruise said. "Tony and I and Jerry, we never thought that we would do it again. Then they started to come to us with these ideas of where it is now. I thought, 'Wow tha…

'Bond 24' Getting Prepped Up For A 2014 Release

Skyfall is scheduled to be released this November and Columbia and Sony are already gearing up for the next Bond film -- to be released in 2014 and probably another November date.

Daniel Craig can opt out of Bond 24 but he says he will likely stick around and considering if the script is to his liking.  I hope he stays for Bond 24 at least.

Other big news is that Skyfall's first trailer will premiere alongside Men In Black 3's theatrical release.

Entertainment Weekly has a transcript of an exchange between Bond and an interrogator.

“Country …” the examiner begins.
“… England,” Bond replies flatly.
“Gun …” the man says.
“… Shot,” Bond says.
“Agent …”
“… Provocateur,” Bond says.
“Murder …”
“… Employment,” Bond growls.
“Skyfall …”
Bond hesitates.
The examiner repeats it: “Skyfall …”
“… Done”

Then it ends with Bond saying:

Some men are coming to kill us. We’re going to kill them first.

Skyfall will be released in October in the UK (nice!) and November in the US.  I can't wait for Skyfall

A Brand New Featurette For Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'

The more I see stuff for this film, the more I want to see this.  Ridley Scott is back directing sci-fi and it's by far my most anticipated film of this summer.  From trailers to images to viral videos, there is just  a lot of stuff that they are releasing for this film. Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall Green, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce and more talk about how awesome it is to work with Ridley Scott.  Looks like they all had a lot of fun doing the film.

Check out the featurette below.

Ridley Scott directs with a cast also including Idris Elba and Ben Foster. The screenplay was written by Jon Spaihts (The Darkest Hour), then revised by Damon Lindelof (Lost, Cowboys & Aliens). The film is set to be released June 8th.

'Scary Movie 5' Has A New Director: Malcolm Lee

Well, it appears that David Zucker is out and Malcolm Lee is in.  But Zucker's not out completely, he will still be co-writing and producing this fifth installment.
Dimension Films rebooted its Scream franchise last year and now its sister spoof series, Scary Movie, is getting another installment: EW can exclusively confirm that Malcolm Lee (Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother) will direct Scary Movie 5, with production slated to begin this summer. Casting is underway but David Zucker, who wrote and directed both Scary Movie 3 and 4, will also be returning to co-write and produce the fifth installment alongside Lee. Scarlett Johansson Possibly NOT In 'Iron Man 3'

It looks as though Johansson will not be Iron Man 3 which then means, no Black Widow.

In an interview she had with Screen Rant, she all but confirms that her character Black Widow won't be in Shane Black's Iron Man 3.

Though the cast of the next addition to the Tony Stark saga is filling up rather quickly with a bevy of notable and formidably talented actors, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will not be joining the adventures on this one. The actress told us she would not be appearing in Iron Man 3 at the start of our interview with her and The Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo, at The Avengers Los Angeles press event last week. Johansson did, however, pitch the idea of a Jason Bourne-esque super hero movie featuring the Black Widow character.

If she isn't in Iron Man 3, it won't be the end of the world.  I think with all the recent casting news of Ben Kingsley, Andy Lau, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce being in Iron Man 3, I think they can manage not having the Black Widow.…

Edgar Wright & Simon Pegg Done Plotting 'The World's End'

Shaun of the Dead came out in 2004 and became a hit to everyone's delight.  Hot Fuzz came out in 2007 and proved to be a hit as well. Now, the third and final part of The Three Flavours Cornetto trilogywill finally be seeing the light of day with The World's End.  It is slated for a 2014 release!

Simon Pegg, who is busy acting in the Star Trek sequel, promised production after his time on Star Trek is all done.  I can't wait for The World's End to come out!

The film will star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost ( how could it not???) and be directed by Edgar Wright (duh!!!).  The film is going to be a parody of sci-fi/disaster films which actually comes at a good time since Pegg is in Star Trek.  Shaun of the Dead is considered to be one of the best zombie films ever made and Hot Fuzz was a brilliant buddy cop film.   Here's hoping The World's End will be as good, if not, better than the first two!

Are you super excited for this?  Shooooooooot-- I know I am!

It's Official, Mel Gibson Joins Cast Of 'Machete Kills'

Well it's finally official, Mel Gibson has signed on and will join Danny Trejo in the sequel to Machete, Machete Kills.

Now this is interesting and I've always felt that Gibson would be great in a '70s style exploitation film.  What better than Machete Kills, right?
EXCLUSIVE: Mel Gibson is now in serious discussions to play a supporting role in Machete Kills, the Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel that will bring Danny Trejo back as the blade-wielding former Federale title character. The film will be released by Fox. In the sequel, Machete is drafted by the U.S. government to track an arms dealer through Mexico before he can launch a rocket. Deadline revealed earlier this month that Gibson was among the talent that Rodriguez was discussing for roles in the film, with others including Michelle Williams. I’m not sure about her, but Gibson is in, I’m told. He takes the role as he prepares to bow Get The Gringo, the film he co-wrote, produced, financed and stars in as the title…

Andy Lau Close To Signing On To Be In 'Iron Man 3'

With the recent news that Walt Disney Company China & DMG are going to co-produce Iron Man 3, it should come as no surprise that they will also put Chinese faces in the film as well and who better to be in the film than one of the biggest Hong Kong stars today.

Andy Lau is very close to signing on to be in Iron Man 3 to play an old friend of Tony Stark's that represents China's technology sector.

The cast just keeps on growing with Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce and just recently Jessica Chastain to be in the film as well.

Lau isn't very well known to the masses in the USA so having him in this film will hopefully help people look up his long Hong Kong work.  He is probably best known to American audiences as being in films such as, House of Flying Daggers and Infernal Affairs (which The Departed was STRONGLY based on).

I wonder if more Chinese actors or actresses will be in this film as well.  We will wait and see.

So, what do you think of this casting news?

Jessica Chastain Also Up For A Role In 'Iron Man 3'

Jessica Chastain, who starred in two Oscar nominated films of 2011, The Help (which she got a Best Supporting Actress nomination for) and The Tree of Life, is up for a role in Iron Man 3 as a scientist who is just as smart as Tony Stark.

Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce are other big names who are most likely going to be in the film.

Chastain was up for an Iron Man 3 role before but due to scheduling conflicts, had to drop out but now that her schedule is all cleared up, her name is back on top.

She will join Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow and it's still a toss up if Jon Favreau will still play Tony Stark's bodyguard/chauffeur, Happy Hogan, since Mr. Favreau is not directing this installment.

So, what do you think of this casting news?

From Kind of Epic Show comes another video during their stay in Chicago covering C2E2.

'The Strangers 2' Update From Producer Marc D. Evans

This news is a little over a week old now, but figured we'd share it anyway.  Producer Marc D. Evans was at a junket for John Cusack starrer The Raven, and spoke a little about the upcoming sequel, The Strangers 2.

I have to ask about The Strangers 2.
"Yes. 'The Strangers 2'. Well, I think that's been a bit more of a saga than we would have all liked, and it's a result of companies being sold and moved around and things like that. But the goal is to move that ahead this fall. Relativity and I have a great script that we love and and we're in the process of putting that together to get it moving."
Do you have a director yet?
"I can't say at the moment. I know, but I can't say. That news will be coming soon, somewhere. We're very excited to have that move forward and get off the ground. I wish this was the 'Strangers 3' at this point, but sometimes things don't always move at the pace that you'd like." Source:  Bloody…

New 'Dark Knight Rises' Trailer To Premiere Alongside 'The Avenger's' Cinema Release

The Avengers is coming out May 4th.  If that wasn't enough reason for you to get off your butt away from the computer and go to the cinemas to watch it, then maybe this will -- A new Dark Knight Rises trailer will premiere alongside it.

Of course, comic fans are most definitely going to see The Avengers so knowing that a new Dark Knight Rises trailer will also be there is pretty cool news.

Once that official trailer goes viral (none of the bootleg stuff), we will put it up here for you all to watch!  In the meantime, get ready for The Avengers to destroy the box office when it comes out.

Jaden Smith To Possibly Become A Teenage Assassin In 'Boy Nobody'

If you didn't take Jaden Smith's acting seriously, then you better take it seriously now -- or not, whatever floats your boat.

Boy Nobody is an upcoming young adult novel from author Allen Zadoff and Sony Pictures and Overbrook are trying to get the film rights. If it's signed, fingers point to having Jaden Smith starring in the film.

What's the book going to be about?  Well, here you go:

"The book’s main character is reminiscent of a teenage Jason Bourne, with Zadoff describing the young protag as a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”

The book isn't even out yet and they are already trying to get the film rights?  I guess, patience ISN'T a virtue!  Not in the film business.  NOPE!   The book will come out in Spring and the author is planning a trilogy (no surprise there).

I decently liked Smith in The Karate

TV Review: 'The Legend Of Korra' Episode 3

After the first 2 episodes airing back-to-back last week, we go to the normal one episode a week format.  This episode introduces us to Amon (voiced by veteran voice actor Steve Blum), who is going to be the main villain in this series.
The episode starts with secondary main characters Bolin (voiced by P.J. Byrne) and Mako (Korra's love interest -- you know it's true!, who is voiced by Married... With Children's David Faustino) being short on cash cause of payments made.  Bolin goes out on his own to the street and has his pet red panda ferret (whatever) Pabu (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) do tricks for quick change.  It doesn't work out to well but it does catch the eye of a Triad member and gets taken away.
Meanwhile, Korra and Mako (who has been working in a factory) find out about this and go on searching for Bolin.  Everything conveniently falls into place and they soon find themselves at an Equalist's meeting and meet their leader, Amon.  We then hear why A…

Guy Pearce Up For 'Iron Man 3' Role

Guy Pearce, who starred in the recently released sci-fi action thriller, Lockout, stars in the upcoming film Prometheus, and had a small but memorable role in The Hurt Locker, is up for a role in Shane Black's Iron Man 3.

Pearce would play Dr. Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3. In the comics, Killian is a genetic scientist who was a key player in Warren Ellis' 2005 comic book storyline Extremis, which is rumored to be a focus of Iron Man 3's plot. The Ellis tale involves the creation of a nanotech virus.

If he does, in fact, star in the film, he will join returning stars, Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow and newcomer Ben Kingsley.  The film is produced by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures and also being co-produced by China.

Rourke, Dawson Back For 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'

Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson will be for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, the prequel to 2005's Sin City.
"[Rourke is] all excited to come back, but he's probably the first one," Rodriguez told MTV of returning players. "I saw Rosario [Dawson] too. I ran into her for something else, and she's pumped. They've always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun." And since this is actually a prequel, and not a sequel, it's okay to bring back characters who perished in the first film.

'The Hunger Games' To Revisit IMAX For One Week

The film will return to more than 100 IMAX theatres for the week of April 27 to May 3, IMAX and Lionsgate announced.  An overwhelming popular demand was the reason why they decided to do it again.

The Hunger Games has become a cultural phenomenon and we are thrilled to provide moviegoers with another opportunity to see this year’s most successful film in Imax,” the theater company’s President Greg Foster says. The film has grossed more than $530 million dollars worldwide since it's opening day on March 23 and more than $13 million of that came from it's one-week run on IMAX theatres.

I'm sure if this run in IMAX theatres is another success, the film will return to IMAX again.

Francis Lawrence Offered The Chance To Direct 'Catching Fire'

There were two candidates as to who was going to direct Catching Fire and since The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence, why not get a director who also has the last name of Lawrence?  Francis Lawrence may all but be your new director. You may not recognize Francis Lawrence's name but you may remember the films he directed. Or maybe not.  I Am Legend and Constantine were arguably mediocre and forgettable action thrillers.  His most recent film was Water For Elephants which starred Twilight star Robert Pattinson.  Bennett Miller of Moneyball and Capote, was the other front runner.

Now, I personally didn't care for I Am Legend or Constantine but since he is still a fairly new director, he can still show he has what it takes to be a great director.  Catching Fire is all but going to make at least $400 million dollars in the box office so why wouldn't he take this job?  I'm not completely satisfied by this choice but he may surprise me.  I hope he cleans up those actio…

Two Stylish New Trailers For David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis'

David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis is going to give the Cannes Film Festival a run for its money. It can also be a turning point for Robert Pattinson.  Since all that Twilight stuff is done and over with, it will be interesting to see what Pattinson does after Twilight and this couldn't be more different.  You can expect the trademark Cronenbergness (That's totally a genre) for this film and judging from the trailers, it definitely looks more stylish and cool than a couple of his previous efforts such as Eastern Promises (which was a decent film in itself).

Eric Packer risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day, a move that puts him in an assassin’s crosshairs as he moves from place to place in a limo in a study of capitalism that takes place in a slightly futuristic metropolis.
The film also stars Juliette Binoche, Samantha Morton, Paul Giamatti, Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand,  Mathieu Amalric, Anna Hardwick, Emily Hampshire, George Touliatos, and Patrici…

First Image Of Anthony Hopkins As Alfred Hitchcock

Here is an image of Anthony Hopkins portraying Alfred Hitchcock.  The film, simply titled Hitchcock, was originally titled, Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, is directed by Sacha Gervasi, and based on the book by Stephen Rebello about the behind-the-scenes details on Hitchcock’s most famous movie, Psycho.

Check out the image below.

Now for a comparison, here is Mr. Hitchcock himself.

This film has "Oscar bait" written all over it and I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins gets considered for an Oscar nomination. (Yes, this is before the film has even been seen.)

Hitchcock will also star Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, Michael Wincott, Danny Huston, and Kurtwood Smith.

James Cameron Talks 'Battle Angel Alita' -- When Will It Come Out Mr. Cameron???

I remember hearing about Cameron being attached to direct the live action adaptation of the sci-fi manga created by Yukito Kishiro, Battle Angel Alita a few years ago and here we are still talking about when OR IF he will make that film.  Instead, Mr. Cameron made Avatar -- which pretty much destroyed Box Office records day and night.

James Cameron did an interview with MTV and said some positive things about HIS film -- which he has not made yet.  He says why Avatar 2 was, well, more important to do than Battle Angel.

“It was a coin toss at that point, but I see the good the ‘Avatar’ franchise could do in terms of keeping a world audience cognizant of our relationship with nature, but in an entertainment context. So, ultimately, I feel there is more good to be done there than with ‘Battle Angel’, [which is] just a great, kickass story.”

A lot of the sci-fi movies we know and love here in America were influenced BY Battle Angel. Movies like Robocop, Total Recall, Cameron's own Te…

'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D' Has A Release Date

7 years after the original Silent Hill movie, the sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has an official release date -- October 26th.  Just in time for Halloween.  The first film didn't do very well critically or financially but it did find success overseas.

Open Road Pictures has agreed to distribute the sequel. The release date puts the movie up against the new thriller Alex Cross, starring Tyler Perry; Fun Size, a Halloween-themed comedy; and the surfing flick Of Men and Mavericks.  No other horror flicks are being released around Halloween so putting the sequel right in time for Halloween definitely seems like a logical choice.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is written and directed by Michael J. Bassett and stars Adelaide Clemens, Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell, Carrie-Anne Moss, Deborah Kara Unger, and Kit Harington.

New Pictures From 'The Lone Ranger' Shows Johnny Depp As Tonto

Johnny Depp has another movie coming up and it's an adaptation of the classic series The Lone Ranger.  He's starring in another movie based on a TV show called Dark Shadows and his character Barnabas Collins is no where near as weird looking as his Tonto.  These pictures also show Armie Hammer who plays the title character The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp meeting up with some Native Americans.  The film is being shot in Navajo Nation land.  Depp met with Navajo Nation elders Ben Shelley and Rex Lee Jim, alongside co-star Armie Hammer.

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski comes Disney/Bruckheimer Films’ THE LONE RANGER. Tonto (Johnny Depp), a spirit warrior on a personal quest, joins forces in a fight for justice with John Reid (Armie Hammer), a lawman who has become a masked avenger.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight Shelley said:

Francis Lawrence and Bennett Miller On Shortlist To Direct 'Catching Fire'

A couple of more names have come out of the sky to possibly direct Catching Fire.  Bennett Miller, director of Moneyball and Capote and Francis Lawrence, director of I Am Legend and Constantine, are possible contenders to direct the Hunger Games sequel. They join potential contenders Alfonso Cuaron, David Cronenberg and  Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.

Lionsgate are obviously getting a myriad of types of directors for the sequel and any of them would be a good choice.  Whoever Lionsgate chooses, they will have a big task on hand to make the best possible film.  As long as the shakycam is almost completely gone, I'll be extremely happy.

Death May Be Back In 'Bill & Ted 3'

The Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey was one of the highlights in the sequel of Bill & Ted and now, it looks like the writers are trying their hardest to bring him back.
Movieweb talked with the Grim Reaper himself, William Sadler, about possibly returning to the role.

I'm not sure if it's a done deal yet. I know they're trying to write The Grim Reaper in. Alex said, 'How could we do this without the Reaper?' I'm hopeful. I'd love to go back and play with those guys again. That was one of the most fun roles I've done. I'll be there in a heartbeat, if they want to do it. Sadler definitely seems more than happy to return to the role so why not?  If he wants to do it, then go ahead and write that character in.  More death hijinks on the way?  You bet!

So what do you think?  A sign of good things to come for Bill & Ted 3?

'Need For Speed' Video Games Getting Possible Film Franchise

Are you a fan of the Need For Speed video games?  Do you like to push that gas pedal a little too much?  Well, this may be the film franchise for the speed freak in you.

Warner Bros., Paramount and Sony are in bidding wars to get the rights for the potential film franchise.  Apparently, the Twisted Metal video games are also getting a film adaptation with Crank co- director Brian Taylor in the directors chair.

If this becomes a reality, one of the aforementioned film companies could have a hit on their hands once one of them gets their hands on Need For Speed.  How will it all work?  It's possible they could just try and do a straight up racing movie but knowing Hollywood, they will put a lackluster story line in it and probably get some hotshot actor to be the lead.  You know how it goes.

No details up just yet but as soon as they come forth, we will let you know.

Would you watch a Need For Speed film?
