Burton Developing 'Nightmare Before Christmas 2'

Could it be? Is Tim Burton finally starting development on a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas ? Now here's some really cool news sent in to us by a very reliable source on the East Coast! While Tim Burton is busy toiling away on the highly anticipated Dark Shadows adaptation right now, he also has his sights set on a sequel to his much beloved The Nightmare Before Christmas. The news comes to us from a recent interview with Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens (who worked with Burton on Pee-wee's Big Adventure) in promotion of his live Broadway show, which closes January 2nd but is being taped for HBO. When asked if he would like to work with Burton again, Reubens replied that he'd like to, but Burton has so many projects happening right now, including Dark Shadows, it's not likely. He went on to mention a few more, but the big reveal came when Reubens mentioned that Burton is also planning a sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Talk about a late h

'Hatchet II' Revised Cover Art

There's a new revised version of the Hatchet II cover art making its rounds. This is due mainly to Brad Miska's (Bloody-Disgusting) argument as to why a BD quote was used on the first cover. Brad was mad at the fact a quote was being used without his approval, rightly so, and thus, it has been removed. Thanks to Bloody Disgusting...and sorry, guys.

'Child's Play' Remake May Have New Title

We have learned recently that the title for the upcoming (long delayed) Child's Play remake may be sporting a new title. There could be a number of possibilities on how and why, but I believe the main reason for the title change is simply to appeal to a wider audience. Not everyone knows what Child's Play is, but everyone knows who Chucky is. Take it with a grain of salt, it came as an anonymous scoop...but it sure sounds interesting.

'Deathly Hallows Part 2' Is Most Aniticipated Film In 2011

According to a poll that Fandango conducted, the most anticipated film of 2011 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 . This news is made even greater due to the fact that it's a sequel. Yes, that's right, a sequel is what everyone is waiting for. And if that's not enough, the number two spot is a two-way tie...and guess what? They're sequels, too! The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and The Hangover Part 2 are tied for second. Consider 2011 the year of the sequel. With not only these titles making their debut, but also a few other big ones like Scream 4 and Transformers: Dark of the Moon . Some other notables are A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, Underworld 4, Mission: Impossible IV, 5nal Destination 3D, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D, and Happy Feet 2 in 3D 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' is the most-anticipated movie of 2011 among both men and w

'Death Race 3' Is A Go-Go

After the semi-success of Death Race and Death Race 2 , it should be no surprise that a third installment is planned. Universal are putting pedal to the metal on a second sequel to “Death Race”. Based on the initial worldwide reception to “Death Race 2″ (releasing in most territories over the next few weeks) the studio’s home entertainment division has put “Death Race 3″ into development, Moviehole confirmed today. Though “Death Race 2″ takes place before the events of the 2008 film (it itself a remake of an old Roger Corman movie) it’s not yet known when on the timeline the new film takes place. “Death Race 2″, directed by Roel Reine, stars Luke Goss as Convicted cop-killer Carl Lucas, a grizzled convict who arrives on Terminal Island to serve his life sentence just as ruthlessly ambitious television personality September Jones launches the ultimate reality show, Death Race. Reviews for the film have been generally positive across the board with most critics singling out the

'Ghost Rider 2', Sequel Or Reboot?

As production on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance heats up (pun intended), the question is becoming very clear: Is this a sequel or a reboot? Our buddies over at Hollywood Outbreak caught up with Nicolas Cage who is currently filming ”Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”. The film will be released on February 17, 2012 and there has been some speculation as to if the film (directed by Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor) is a sequel or a re-boot of the first movie. Cage states the film will be “an entirely new experience.” Cage says it was important for the directors to “recreate that whole experience” in making this film – which may be referring to the origin or transformation of Johnny Blaze into Ghost Rider. Check out Nicolas Cage in his new movie, ”Season of the Witch”, in theaters January 7th. Thanks to Moviehole.

'Winnie the Pooh' Trailer

If you haven't seen it yet, here it is: the theatrical trailer for Winnie the Pooh , a quasi reboot/remake of sorts. Call me lame, but I'm definitely seeing this in theaters.

Stuntman Injured On 'The Hangover 2'

Recently, on the set of Warner Bros. upcoming comedy sequel, The Hangover 2 , a stuntman (Scott McLean) was critically injured during an automobile stunt. Best of luck to a speedy recovery, Scott! Warner Bros. had this to say... "There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of 'The Hangover Part II' near Bangkok, Thailand, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010 (Bangkok time). A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence. The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition."

Lucy Hale Talks 'Scream 4' Cameo

Lucy Hale talks to Just Jared Jr. about her little cameo in Scream 4 , the newest chapter in the suspense thrillogy directed by Wes Craven. On appearing in Scream 4 : “I actually did a cameo for Scream 4, which is amazing because there’s a lot of people in it, so it’s cool to be a part since it’s such a huge cult franchise. I remember watching all of them. Wes Craven directed it — it was just so surreal.” Read more:

'X-Men: First Class' Sports Retro Custumes

A little X-Men: First Class news bits... Someone over at the Superhero Hype forums is claiming to have some inside information on the “X-Men : First Class” movie. Considering it is the reputable Superhero Hype and not a comic blog hosted on a free weebly account we’ll give this person the benefit of the doubt.. for now. •the xmen costumes are blue and yellow. they look good. •mystique has an xmen costume, so i’m assuming she’s apart of the xmen team at some point. she’s also not going to be blue for the entire movie. •i personally don’t like beast’s look. his fur is apparently made of some near-extinct albino fox or something. but that could just be a rumor. •angel has tattoos all over her body and her costume is black, very short and revealing. (zoe kravitz and her stunt double are gorgeous). •i’m not sure if it’s ok to reveal the villain, but he looks really awesome. he also drank my soda. •emma frost looks really good. but i don’t like the hair and make-up, although it mi

Fun World Responds To NECA's Ghostface

Fun World director RJ Torbert responded the criticism of NECA's new 7'' Ghostface figure. Fun World, as you know, are the makers of the iconic Ghostface mask. First, I would like to congratulate NECA on a job well done. As I have mentioned in earlier interviews there are "reasons" for things unfolding the way they have and I extol their ability and determination on this project. I also think they were very gracious in releasing a "prototype" image of the figure to the "SCREAM" "GHOSTFACE" followers instead of a "production" figure. By doing this they showed appreciation and respect to the fans which I think is terrific. Yes, there has been "some" criticism which everyone is entitled to do when giving their opinion. There have even been some comments such as. "Who let this pass?" The answer is me. The buck stops here at this office when it comes to GHOSTFACE and the approvals so the criticism can be direc

'Little Fockers' Avoids Threequel Curse

I found a neat little review for Little Fockers that tried to find the good in the movie, entertaining and a fun read... For whatever reason, the third entry in any series of films is often the worst and sometimes not even watchable (remember "Spider-Man 3?"). "Little Fockers," which is the second sequel to 2000's "Meet the Parents," is a perfectly serviceable comedy that manages to sidestep the typical "threequel" curse. Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is now a cash-strapped dad enticed to moonlight as a speaker for a drug company by newcomer to the series Andi Garcia (Jessica Alba). The timing is awful, as his near-psychotic father-in-law, played with the now-customary hamminess by Robert De Niro, has now annointed Greg heir apparent as his successor as head of the family, and is going to be in town for the twins' birthday. The twist this time around is that the parents and inlaws are on Greg's turf this time, although he derives l

Andrew Garfield Talks 'Spider-Man'

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Andrew Garfield dished a little bit on his experience playing Peter Parker in the much-anticipated Spider-Man reboot... Andrew Garfield, retiring the suit for a few days whilst he downs eggnog with a drunk uncle, says in a new online interview that he’s been shooting “Spider-Man” (2012) for a couple of weeks now and is really enjoying certain aspects of it. In an interview with The Guardian, the actor decides to mention not how great it’s been working with vets like Martin Sheen or Sally Field, nor how beautiful and talented co-star Emma Stone is, but how ‘comfy’ the “Spider-Man” getup is. As one would. ”I feel like a kid in my pajamas”, the 27-year-old star of “The Social Network” says. “I can only say how it feels and it feels pretty special. It feels like a dream realized and a fantasy realized,” he added. “I don’t take it lightly and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to wear spandex for the next few months.” Under those pajamas you

NECA Reveals 7'' Ghostface Figure

NECA has revealed their prototype for their new 7'' Ghostface figure from the popular horror series Scream . The figure is said to coincide with Scream 4 and be approved by Fun World (makers of the Ghost Face mask). But for me, a die-hard Scream fanatic, I sure hope the final product has much improvement over this proto. Oh well, I still have my old McFarland Toys Movie Maniac Ghostface... Dan Brown Writing 'Da Vinci Code' Sequel

The author of The Da Vinci Code is currently writing the screenplay for the sequel, The Lost Symbol ... LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mega-selling mystery author Dan Brown has taken over writing duties on the film adaptation of "The Lost Symbol." Columbia Pictures is developing the film version of Brown's most recent novel, which was published in 2009 and sold more than a million copies in its first day on shelves. In it, Brown's regular protagonist, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, gets mixed up with the Freemasons in Washington, D.C. The 2006 adaptation of "The Da Vinci Code" and the 2009 version of "Angels & Demons" grossed $1.24 billion at the worldwide box office for Sony. But this is the first time Brown has taken on screenwriting duties. Akiva Goldsman penned Da Vinci, and co-wrote Demons with David Koepp. Oscar-nominated "Eastern Promises" scribe Steven Knight first took a run at the "Symbol" screenpla

Channing Tatum In 'The Expendables 2'

Dolph Lundgren seems to think that Channning Tatum will be in the sequel t The Expendables ... In an interview to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of “The Expendables”, chemical engineer turned Punisher Dolph Lundgren tells Den of Geek that Sly’s looking at recruiting some young guns (no, not as in Dermot Mulroney or Lou Diamond Phillips) for the forthcoming sequel. “I know they were talking about someone really young, like that guy, what’s his name? The guy that was in G.I. Joe…. Channing Tatum, or someone like him to bring that audience.” Lundgren also said his “Universal Soldier” co-star Jean-Claude Van Damme will likely appear in the film – and he might get to fight him. Again. “Stallone said something like, “Yeah, I want you to break his fucking neck somehow…”. So, we’ll see what happens!”. “So, I think that there’s a certain chance he’ll be in it. As a bad guy he would be cool. I think he should play a bad guy. It’s a great way to come back, you know, because people a

Producer Talks 'Tron 3'

Producer Sean Bailey recently spoke about the possibility of TRON 3 ... Though it’s doing respectable business at the box office (see our story here on how well the film performed in the U.S this weekend), ”TRON : Legacy” still has a long way to go before it’s out of the red. Producer Sean Bailey confirms rumours that they have got some ideas for a sequel but haven’t yet decided whether they’ll push forward. “We’ve talked about a sequel and we have some beginning thoughts, but we didn’t hold anything back for this film,” said Bailey, in an interview with THR. “It’s really hard to make a good movie, and we put everything we had into this one.” “I think Tron has the potential to become a real franchise,” said Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney. “Right now the focus is on launching a great movie and a great video game, and then hoping that the people out there agree with us. If they do, we have the ability as a company to basically turn something that’s successful in one medium or two into

'Salt 2' Needs A Director

The directing job for Salt 2 is open at the moment. here's the full details... In an interview conducted earlier today, “Salt” director Phillip Noyce told us he won’t be (despite rumours he’s already onboard) directing the sequel to the Angelina Jolie starring hit. Though Sony has yet to officially announce a sequel (it’s expected they likely will, considering the success of the original) Noyce tells Moviehole he has moved on. “Those 3 [alternate] Blu-ray cuts [of the film] represent just about everything I have to offer on Everlyn Salt”, says the filmmaker. “If there ever is a sequel, better its directed by someone with a completely fresh take on what I believe could be a totally entertaining and complex series of stories.” Meantime, Noyce is working on a couple of new projects. ”Christopher Hampton, of Atonement fame, is currently in negotiations to rework the Dirt Music script, with Russell Crowe confirmed to play singer/song writer Luther Fox.Its a film about the tran

Review: 'Hatchet II'

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch Hatchet II . The film starts off where I felt it needed to: exactly where the first one ended...and maybe that's where this one needed to end as well. After watching the film, it's hard rto believe that this movie has so much hype going in to it. For literally months prior, horror news sites were clamoring at the chance to post anything Hatchet sequel related. And I just feel that the film falls short...way short. This film's lead heroine, Marybeth (played by Tamara Feldman in the original, this time by Danielle Harris), feels a little out of place in this sequel. The film could probably work without the character altogether. As for Danielle Harris, I've always liked here, going all the way back to Halloween 4 & 5 . But in Hatchet II , her acting didn't seem up to par (she's actually a really good actress). Besides the main antagonist, Victor Crowley, there's actually sort of another semi-bad guy: Revere

More Heather Morris 'Buffy' Chatter

This has become some sort of roller coaster ride this past week: is she or isn't she? It was rumored earlier that Glee star Heather Morris was the front-runner to play the lead in the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer reboot. And then the story was debunked by the writer...and now Morris is claiming that she is in talks... What a rocking chair of a news story this is, we’ve been back-and-forth on these “Heather Morris as Buffy” rumours all week. The “Glee” actress was said to be the frontrunner for the role of the Slayer in Warner’s “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” reboot a week or so back. The film’s writer, newcomer Whit Anderson, was quick to debunk the rumours though – suggesting that the script is not even finished, so nobody’s out there auditioning actors just yet. Was that a smokescreen though? Is Heather Morris actually in talks? It would seem so. The blond, who plays ditzy Britney on “Glee”, tells Access Hollywood that she’s indeed being considered. “They’re considering me

'Hatchet II' Cover Art Revealed

The cover art for Adam Green's Hatchett II has been revealed via various news sites. The film is getting rave reviews and seems to be surpassing the original, but, we'll have to wait and see how DVD and Blu-ray sales do, considering that's how the original gained its cult status. By the way, you can pre-order your copy, either DVD or Blu-ray, by following the links just below the cover art.

Canadian 'Scream 4' Trailer In French!

Here's a little love for the French-Canadian Scream fans out there! It's always a bit funny seeing a trailer dubbed with another language, because they somehow always seem to lose their "feel". But, not this one -- this one, however, seems to maintain its eerie atmosphere and deliver exactly what the English one did. Enjoy! Thanks to Scream-Trilogy.

Ghostface In 'Still Screaming' Photo

The documentary on the Scream franchise, Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective , is in full swing and here we are treated to a great shot of the Ghostface killer in full attack mode from a "movie-within-a-movie" inside the doco (and no, it's not a Stab sequel). Today Scream-Trilogy reveals an exclusive first look at the ‘fictional’ linking segment from Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective. Taking Scream to the next level of meta, Ghostface intrudes on a young woman’s dressing room in our world. The doco’s director Ryan Turek told Scream-Trilogy “we just wrapped shooting something unique to the retrospective and stays true to Scream’s self aware attitude. It’s something I wrote and directed. It’s not a Stab fan film, but a mini-narrative set in the real world where the Scream films exist for our two characters.” Turek has previously revealed that this special sequence will also make reference to the slew of genre documentaries tha

'The Other Guys 2' A Possibility

Adam McKay recently spoke to MTV about a possible The Other Guys 2 . And here's how that went... Though it was a much bigger success than “The A-Team”, same deal if anyone wants to see a sequel to “The Other Guys” : Buy the DVD… and hope that the film “ages well”. That’s what director Adam McKay tells MTV Movies Blog today when asked whether or not we might see Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s ‘loser’ cops back on the beat one day. “[A sequel] has been kicked around. You know, Will and I both feel the same: Box office is one thing for these comedies, but you really see that the best gauge is how they play on DVD and TV and downloads and all that. So you don’t really know until a year or year-and-a-half after it comes out. “Step Brothers” had a pretty decent box office run. I mean, it made money and did really well, but it was until like four months after it came out that it really started catching. “Anchorman” was the same way. You find the fan base like a year later. So if “O

Jon Favreau Not Directing 'Iron Man 3'

It's a sad day in the world of Iron Man , as Jon Favreau has walked from the project. Read on for the full details... So the usually reliable (despite what Nikki Fenke says!) Vulture shocked the comic book movie community this morning with word that Jon Favreau had exited the “Iron Man” franchise, leaving “Iron Man 3” in someone else’s hands. Favreau himself confirmed the news via a Tweet, saying “It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom, not Iron Man 3. I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.” An insider tells Comic Book Movie that Favreau departed ways with Marvel because the filmmaker and star Robert Downey Jr had a rift over the poorly received “Iron Man 2”. “What happened is that on the first one they sort threw the script out and kind of improvised the whole thing and they stuck a landing,” says the source, described as “a prolific member of the Hollywood community whose identity can’t be revealed, but who’s about as credible as they come’’. “They stuck

Casting Call: 'The Three Stooges'

It looks as if some unknowns could be playing the title roles of Larry, Curly, and Moe in a big-screen adaptation of TV's The Three Stooges . Back in the day, it was supposed to be Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro, but a few years have passed and those actors have since dropped out of the project. Well, without further ado, here's the call... MOE The unquestioned leader of the Three Stooges, Moe is a numbskull who barks orders and expects unquestioned obedience from his two hapless companions, Larry and Curly. STRONG VERBAL AND PHYSICAL COMEDY SKILLS REQUIRED – Age range early 30’s to early 40’s. LARRY An imbecile with an eccentric fringe of pullable frizzy hair, Larry is the bird-brained member of The Three Stooges, a victim of Moe’s bullying and Curly’s effervescent insanity. STRONG VERBAL AND PHYSICAL COMEDY SKILLS REQUIRED – Age range early 30’s to early 40’s. CURLY A chubby, bullet-headed idiot whose hair never grows more than an eighth of an inch, Curl

First Pic From 'Fast Five'

First still from Fast Five , the fifth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise... The first still from Uni’s “Fast Five” – featuring Dwayne Johnson, seemingly reprising the role played by Charlie Sheen in “Fixing the Shadow” – has hit the webbly wire. “Fast Five” is, of course, the fifth in the popular “Fast and the Furious” franchise. Said photo features a staring contest between the stars of “The Tooth Fairy” and “The Pacifier”. “One of the things I’ve always loved about the franchise — the reason I think it’s been so successful over the years — is that they never stop trying to up the action,” Johnson tells USA Today, who also have the image. Director Justin Lin says, “If you’re going to do a Fast and Furious movie, you’ve got to go bigger each time,” says Lin. “People thought it would be impossible to get Dwayne. But he didn’t show up looking to cash a paycheck.” (No, he showed up looking for some taco’s. That’s just what I hear.) “That’s pretty amazing, for a st

Heather Morris is NOT 'Buffy'!

We previously reported that Glee star Heather Morris would be donning the stake in the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer reboot. Well, we were wrong... A couple of days back the Sunnydale underground was abuzz that “Glee” scene-stealer Heather Morris (‘Britney’) had inherited the stake from Sarah Michelle Gellar in this worrisome “Buffy” reboot that Warner Bros is putting together sans the man that gave birth to the Slayer, Joss Whedon. Easy rumour to believe – “Glee” is a hot show, anyone on it would likely be considered a viable commodity, and more so, in addition to having killer looks and great comedic timing, Ms Morris is an uber-flexible, super-healthy dancer. One would imagine that’s exactly what the producers are looking for in Buffy Sommers 3.0, no? Alas, Whit Anderson, the actress cum screenwriter behind the film, has debunked claims that Morris is the frontrunner for the role, telling THR “We’re not even thinking about casting yet…The script isn’t even written!” Kids, ‘scri

'X-Men: First Class' Plot Revealed

The plot for the upcoming X-Men: First Class has been revealed. Here we go again... X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men. Thanks to /Film and Screenrant!

Pics From Burton's Abandoned 'Superman Lives'

Below are some pictures and information regarding the abandoned 1997 Superman Lives that Tim Burton was set to direct. Photos were made available by Steve Johnson, an FX artist... ... Feels like yesterday we were posting news items about “Superman Lives”, the failed Tim Burton take on the legendary character. In fact, I remember exactly where I was when I updated the site with news that the film had fallen through. Also remember the image we used. Funny how some things stay with you like that. You all know about “Superman Lives” right? Before McG, before Brett Ratner, and way before Bryan Singer, Tim Burton had been charged with the task of bringing Superman back to theaters. Nicolas Cage (I know, I know…) had been hired to play The Man of Steel. Here’s a bit of a refresher (remember all this stuff so well because we seemed to be reporting on it each and every week) : I was in the university ‘computer room’ – where students would fight over this new thing called ‘the internet’

'Glee' Star To Be New 'Buffy'?

Heather Morris (TV's Glee ) is the supposed front-runner to play the lead role in the upcoming Buffy, The Vampire Slayer remake. Heather Morris, of “Glee” fame (as opposed to “I gave birth to Caffeinated Clint” fame), is said to be the favourite to grip the stake in Warner’s “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” movie remake. MovieWeb were in Nashville this past week and had the chance to ask an associate of Sandollar productions, who are producing the movie, who the studio were envisioning as their new Buffy Sommers. Says the site, “The source indicates that Heather Morris’s comedic timing is a perfect fit for Buffy Summers, and that her background as a dancer and a gymnast will be greatly utilized in the skill set that Buffy is supposed to have as a Slayer. In this new reboot, Buffy will no longer be in high school, but instead facing the same hardships that a lot of young college graduates have today in struggling to find a paying job and a healthy relationship. Though she plays a te

Chris Zylka To Play Flash Thompson In 'Spider-Man'

Chris Zylka has been cast to play Peter Parker's high school nemesis Flash Thompson in the now-filming Spider-Man reboot. Update! The Wrap has confirmed our earlier report that Chris Zylka will play Flash Thompson in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Previously… Chris Zylka (TV’s “Ten Things I Hate About You”) is said to have snagged the role of ‘Flash’ Thompson in director Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man”. Thompson, of course, is the school stud and star footballer player who relentlessly picks on Peter Parker. Over at Zylka’s Twitter page, the actor responds to someone congratulating him on snagging the role in “Spider-Man”. His response? Thank You”. Comic Book Movie have confirmed that the role is Thompson. “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner was once linked to the role of Thompson. “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello played the role of Thompson in the Sam Raimi directed “Spider-Man”. “Spider-Man”, out 2012, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen and Sall

'Scream 4' Almost Done Says Craven

'Alien' Prequel Woes Continue

The troubles for Alien prequel continue... As much as I’d love to see a new “Alien” movie (heck, who am I kidding, I’d prefer to see a new big Jim-directed “Aliens” movie), I just don’t know if it’s going to happen. This prequel project that Ridley Scott’s onboard has been plagued with nothing but problems since Fox cracked the crusty egg and announced the thing. There have been disagreements between the studio over the script, strife over the escalating budget, a battle over the ‘rating’ (Fox want a watered-down “Alien” movie, Scott wants something more hardcore – just as we do!) and, considering they’ve been on the hunt for a few months for her, difficulty finding a female lead. Now, says ScriptFlags, the film may have been Fury Road-ed. Yep, pushed back a full twelve months. ”Ridley Scott’s Alien Prequel #1 & #2 have both been pushed back a full twelve months to 2013 & 2014”, claims the site. “There has been no official explanation from Fox or Scott’s camp. This comes t

'Conan' Reboot Gets New Title, Delay

The Conan 3D reboot has been given a new title: Conan the Barbarian -- fitting, if you ask me. And here's more... Make of this what you will : Nu Image has not only just renamed their upcoming “Conan” reboot – from “Conan 3D” to the more purist pleasing “Conan the Barbarian” – but they’ve just ordered the cast back to Bulgaria for reshoots. Considering the film has been in the can for quite some time – and most of the cast, including Rachel Nichols, Jason Momoa and Ron Perlman have all moved on to other projects – the reshoots, which come hot on the end of test screenings, are a little worrying. I also have to ask, why has “3D” been removed from the film’s title? Is it because the studio believes 3D’s appeal on the decline? Or is it – am I just taking a stab in the dark here – because they’re considering doing away with 3D? An insider tells me that “It could be that they have abandoned 3D but last I heard they were going to shoot some more 3D friendly scenes and then hire a

'Flubber 3D' In The Works

It appears that Disney is looking to make a sequel to the 1997 film Flubber , starring Robin Williams. Here's the latest... Ah, “Flubber” – - how I miss your kindly jello exterior. Or not. Actually worked on the 1997 flick – starring Robin Williams in the ol’ Fred MacMurray role – in a marketing position, so believe me when I say I’ve had enough “Flubber” to last me a life time. No, please, I just couldn’t fit any more in. That first round of green shit quashed my craving. Disney are said to be considering sequelizing the Robin Williams comedy. Joy. Not a surprise though, is it? I mean, the original film that “Flubber” was based on, “The Absent Minded Professor”, spawned a sequel, “Son of Flubber”. According to Whats Playing, “Flubber 2″ or – wait for it – “Flubber 3D” hinges on Williams’ commitment. If he wants in, it’s a go, if he doesn’t? well, it goes the way of “Mrs Doubtfire 2″ (Remember? Bonnie Hunt wrote the screenplay? Williams decided, after all was said and done, he

Zimmer Not Scoring 'Man of Steel'

Contrary to the rumors a few days ago, Hans Zimmer will not be scoring the new Superman movie... As expected with information on the Internet, it travels fast and can get miscontrued. Last week word spread faster than a speeding bullet that Hans Zimmer was going to be doing the music for the new Superman movie, being directed by Zack Snyder. ("Hans Zimmer to replace iconic Superman score,” said Entertainment Weekly.) Part of the fuel comes from the fact that Christopher Nolan, for whom Zimmer did the music for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception, is producing the new movie. He is expected to reteam with Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises, as the third movie is titled, but as for Superman, Zimmer says the rumours aren't true (at least not yet), and they have been allowed to bounce around the Internet because his long time publicist Ronni Chasen was murdered three weeks ago. We’ll let Zimmer speak his mind to THR’s Kevin Cassidy. THR: The internet is buzzing with r

Emma Stone Goes Gwen Stacy Blonde!

This all comes from omg! on Yahoo!... "Zombieland" actress Emma Stone has switched up her signature fiery red look in favor of a brand new blonde hairdo, which she debuted on the red carpet at the Trevor Live benefit in West Hollywood on Sunday. Though Stone is in fact a natural blonde, the actress has made her name sporting red or brunette locks in movies like "Easy A" and "Superbad." Why the move to the dark side in the first place? "When I first moved to L.A., I had this agent who thought, because I was blonde, that I only wanted to play cheerleaders," Stone told Britain's The Independent. "So she'd send me out for all these parts where they thought: 'What a weird 15-year-old. It's not going to work out!' I don't know if anyone necessarily underestimated me as a blonde -- I think I just had a crappy agent. So one day, in a fit of trying to do something different, I just dyed my hair dark brown and got my first ro

Review: 'The Last Airbender'

How a movie based off of a cartoon can be hazardous to your health. Hey everyone and welcome to my first review for this lovely website and what a better way to start this by reviewing The Last Airbender.  The movie is based off of a Nickelodeon cartoon series called Avatar: The Last Airbender and this movie should have been called that but instead some rich beyond rich filmmaker named James Cameron had to name his movie called Avatar.  (I'm sure you heard of it)  Anyway, if you didn't hear about the news before the movie was being made that a known filmmaker named M. Night ShyShy (yeah that's what I'm going to call him from now on cause I can't remember how to spell his last name right now [Shyamalan]) was going to write and direct the movie.  Now that was mistake number one.  The last few movies he did (The Happening, Lady in the Water and The Village) didn't do crap at the box office and they all got terrible reviews.  A shame because he made some great
